I do not want a actual wedding. Just him and I exchanging vows. Is this wrong as in my family and his would not be included. His family is over here on the east coast with us and my family is on the west. they have not met him. But I am wanting to get married and then have a reception or a gathering after I finish basic and then A.I.T. Is this an acceptable thing if this is what he and I want?

My partner and I have so many friends and family. We were having a discussion about who we wanted in our bridal/groom party. Traditionally ( or the norm) are people that are married or with children NOT asked to be apart of a wedding Party?

Also, are there other traditional rules I could follow to help minimize the amount of people I have in my wedding? --such as age.....

what age is too old or too young for a bridesmaid or groomsman?
Help

My bf and I were talking about what our invitations would say if we were to get married....his parents are divorced and remarried, mine are still married if both his and my parents contributed equally what would the invitations say? my bfs dad(bob) was remarried to (kim) and his mom (kelly) was remarried to (george). kelly and george are more like his parents then his dad ever was so would it say something like bob and kelly would request the honor of your presence....or george and kelly? he doesnt want to leave his dad out of the wedding because its his only son but his stepdad is a huge part of his life? we arent getting married for a while so we have time to figure it all out I was just wondering what it would look like. Sorry it must be really confusing!

I am looking for a mustard seed necklace... the area that I live doesnt have many christian book stores... so I'm probably going to have to order off the internet. I cant spend a whole lot of money, but I dont want the necklace to look cheap or turn green on the person's neck. Anyone have an idea where I can look?

PS. It needs to be silver in color...and I dont want the pendant to be HUGE

My uncle's new bride is making us all pay for our own meals, and complaining because we won't help pay for any of the wedding.

I wanted something completely different but fun, so that way we don't have to cut up the cake or get so much paper plates and forks. I thought this up because we can make colorful frostings and have like 3 tiers on it. Do you think that's a great idea??

Me and my fiance are marrying in the late summer of 2008 and I'm having trouble finding an affordable ceremony/reception site. Can anyone recommend any ceremony/reception sites that are under $2000 in the Atlanta or metro-Atlanta area?

she doesn't approve cos it contains the word catholic. my fiancee is anglo catholic and thats what the church is. we are trying to convince her the church is a c of e church but she says it has to be a protestant c of e church. my fiancee says protestant is not c of e but mum refuses to believe him. its stressing me out cos i'm caught in the middle. im happy to get married at my fiancees church cos religion-wise i'm actually pagan which mum also won't except. we don't want to have a registry office wedding or arrange a hotel one. im at a total loss on what to do i don't want the stress right now cos i'm expecting a baby soon. is there any way i can convince mum to except thats the church me and my fiancee have chosen and she has to except it without turning it into a family fallout?

if you were to have a girlfriend/boyfriend (depends on what gender you like), and that person would never have sex with you, would you break up with that person no matter how great the relationship is? like you have fallen head over heels over that person and that person would never have sex ever. That person does foreplay and kissing and stuff like that but NOT sex.

Almost everybody in my family turned their back on my mother because of her ways. (lies, double crossing, gossip, just crazy) I am getting married soon and our guest list is near 200 with only family and our (bride and groom's) friends. She knows that nobody in the family will talk to her. She wants to invite the people from her church to come to the wedding. They are her only freinds because they haven't known her long enough. We have seen them before but do not hardly know them. I don't know what to do. I want everybody to be happy, but it is her fault nobody in the family talks to her.

I am engaged, and we are beginning to think about the registry. The problem is that I've lived on my own for over 4 years and have most of the things people usually register for. Also, my family tends to look at what's on your registry and then buy it elsewhere if they can find a good deal. So our idea is to register for a few things we need and hope for $$. But I do want to be sure that the store we register at has a good return policy. Ideally cash back with little hassle. Thanks!

My daughter is taking me on Friday to Iowa (I live in Minnesota) for this, so far I am not sick but I am so afraid I am going to get sick or pass the virus on. My daughter gets married on September 29 this could not have happened at the worst time! What would you do? Would you stay home or go? I am going to be extremly sad if I don't go but feel worse if I make others sick. Help!

Because I was told that the couple could stay together as long as they just don't see each other in their Wedding Attire! I was told, and heard by MANY that the couple shouldn't stay with one another that evening before the "BIG DAY", because their is so much that both need to do, and that this will only STRESS one another OUT, and be pissed off at each other before the BIG DAY ? TRUE OR FALSE ? OR BEST ANSWER ANYONE OUT THEIR>

I get married 2008 . I love my mother but she has ideas on how the wedding should go and is taking over what sort of food we should have and opening her mouth about it and when people say they would like to come, she says they can. She does not even consult me. I wanted a small garden wedding with no more than 20 people. She has brought the number up to 60. She also will be there on the day helping me dress and telling me how to do my hair. I hate that. I want her to come. But I also want to do it my way. I know she will talk too much and embarrass me as well. She will also drink wine and take over conversations and want to be the centre of attention. I love her so much but I don't want to hurt her feelings, but it is my day. At my 21st she took over and handed everyone cake because nobody would get off their backsides and get it. I want it to be a small simple wedding but the little things she would do and the people there would drive me crazy. What can I do?

i'm just interested to see what everyone else chose . i can't decide what color to pick , at first i was thinking pastel colors like light pink, or light blue . but then i thought i should have a brighter color. i really like pastels but i think it draws attention away from my dress . having brighter colors for the bridesmaids dresses would make my dress stand out more, what are your thoughts ?
