If someone e-mails me to tell me that they can't come to my wedding after they received the Save-the-date card, should I still send them an invitation? On one hand, I feel like I should, since the Save-the-date card implies that they will get an invitiation. On the other hand, if they said no, I don't want them to feel like I sent them an invitation just so that I could get a gift. What is the etiquette on this?

plus the place i want to wed does not have a church any where near it.

my view is that you dont need to be ''in gods house'' to worship him. but i dont think this will fly.

Here's the deal. I proposed to my girlfriend about a year ago. I told her we had to wait to set a date until I found employment...Meanwhile not long after I proposed she started changing. Setting down the ground rules and showing her true self. I told her to start treating me like she used to. She says that she will when I set a date. We are at a standstill now. What direction should I take?

My fiance and I got engaged in June. Before that we had dated for over 4 years. Things were really great until about three weeks ago. All of a sudden it is like he has become a different person. he's mean and doesn't seem to care or want to talk to me. For the next 8 months I live long-distance so talking on the phone is kind of important.

Before all of this he was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I don't understand what has changed in the last few weeks that has made him do such a dramatic change. Is he getting cold feet? Should I be worried?

I try to talk to him and he just gets defensive and even meanier. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

I am having a wedding in a state park and the closest hotel is about 45 minutes away and only has 10 rooms! Would it be bad to ask my close family/friends to camp in tents or campers to attend my wedding. How do I write that into an invitation?

So, I am engaged and am planning a wedding for sometime in April or May 2008. I already know who is in my bridal party. 1. My cousin (Age 18) 2. My sister (Age 16) and 3. My friend Carrie (Age 21).

My dilemma is this...I want my cousin to be my MOH. I would love to have my sister, but for one, she'll be in school and two, I'm not sure she'll be able to handle the responsibilities.

My grandmother is furious! She says my sister should be my MOH and that she may not even come if I don't.

Isn't this my wedding where my future husband and I make the decisions? Who's right?

I'm getting married next year and I have never had a great relationship with my dad - not bad either. He was just never there for me, never came to my sporting events, school events (only high school graduation). My mom pretty much raised me and I have asked her to walk me down the aisle as he will have the father daughter dance. As you can see i'm the furthest thing from "daddy's girl", and have NO idea what song to pick...

I am going to a co-worker's wedding with many other people from work. I wouldn't say we're close, but we're in the same crowd at work. There are a bunch of co-worker weddings coming up, so money is definitely tight. Someone at work asked what kind of gift I was going to give him and I said probably $100 (I'm not bringing a guest). They all started laughing and said I was being cheap! It's not like this is the wedding of the century - as far as I know it's not like there's going to be fireworks and a parade! I'm in a union and they all know I'm at the bottom of the pay scale. Enough babbling - Is $100 enough? If not, what is enough?

I need help with choosing my wedding reception music!
We like mainly country music.

I need a good waltz for the Father of the Bride dance.
Butterfly kisses is over played, and I want a different song than the one at my sister's wedding. I was thinking of "I loved her first", and unless I find a better one this will be my choice.

I also need a good Mother/Groom song.

I was also going to have a dance for just the parents and grand parents of the bride and groom.... Do you know of any good songs for that?

Positive and constructive answers only please.

Thanks!

I was going to registe at stores but I kinda think in a year from now the things I want will change. The only store I was interested in registering at was Target and my mom says thats too cheap of a store to register at. I would prefer people just give cash if they want to, whats a good way of asking people to do that instead of gifts with out being tacky or coming off greedy?

I found this...
http://www.ultimatekits.com/
They used to offer packets at the courthouse where you get your marriage license but apparently they don't anymore. (Florida) It this packet really worth the 30 bucks it costs; does it save you a lot of trouble or is it better to just go up to the dmv, social security office, etc..... to change your name...
