We are very close and 2 different siblings are getting married within a couple months of each other. We all make between 45-75k a year.

Their finances and I have a pretty good relationship if that helps.

Incidently, she invited my other friends instead of me just to spite me. But, My friends are still my other friends and I'm secure with that. I was a little upset in the beginning, now I'm over it. Should I send my friends a Card to give to her? Thanks!

At our wedding 10 yrs ago I was pregnant with our daughter and my mother in law took over and planned the whole thing. Even my "gown" was a department store job that didn't fit right!! We were low on money and had a baby coming so we had to do what we could. Now we have money to do things differently. My question is this: Is it tacky if I got a regular wedding dress to wear and did it up the way I wanted to in the first place. Or is it too late seeing you can't relive your wedding day again? I need advise here!

I've heard people being told they are not allowed to take photos of themselves while trying on wedding dresses. Why is this?

Im getting married and all my friends want to be bridesmaids. However its way more of them than groomsmen, will it be tacky to have some of the ladys walk down alone?

My friend, who I have known for more than half of my life, is getting married soon. I just finished school and had to move far away in order to start a new job. I don't have the money to travel (my job doesn't pay much right now) to her wedding and moreover, I don't have enough money to pay for my bridesmaid dress, the hotel, etc. She knows about my situation, since I confronted her with my issue. I don't think she's mad that I can't go, but time will tell. What are your thoughts on the situation. How would you feel if your friend told you she couldn't make it to your wedding because she doesn't have the money? Would you understand?

29 years old, and has stated to many people she will never have children. I support her decision with this. She is a carreer girl and already has to much to put at risk, should she ever decide she should most certainly have a pre-nup. But I have pointed out to her how happy and unemcumbered she is at the moment. It would be a pity to spoil something good? what do you think

I've always thought it'd be cool to have a girl as a ring bearer. Why is it taboo for a girl to be a ring bearer?

We had a courthouse wedding. What are the things we need to know. Is this a common practice (remarry because you didnt like your first wedding?) do we need another marriage license? we would like gifts. Because our first marriage ceremony was done in secret, so we didnt get anything from my family or any friends. Do you plan these like a regular wedding. We want a crawfish boil, is that appropriate for a wedding? Is it safe by tradition for me to wear white ( I never did before).

Hi there

I have read some examples on the net of people saving a lot of money by having a Friday wedding. One of the venues I am interested in has different rates, but most charge the same whatever the day. My issue is, I have heard that even things like photography, cars and flowers are cheaper on a Friday. Has anyone heard of this please?

If I bought a gift for my boss for his engagement party, and I'm getting another one for their wedding. Do I have to bring a third to the bridal shower? I eloped so I have no clue.

If so, do you bring a gift geared toward the bride only to the bridal shower??

I have been married for a year next week (YEAH!) but I sometimes still wonder about this... What does everyone think of guests who RSVP that they will attend the wedding, but then they don't show up? There were a number of no shows at our wedding, and when I think about the money that went down the drain for those people, it still bothers me. We heard some interesting reasons/excuses, too. Thoughts, opinions?
