You can buy a Bride and Groom Christmas tree ornament for about $10. Check out "holiday speciality" stores or just do a search on the web for "Bride and Groom" ornament. You may even be able to personalize it with their names and/or wedding date.

A nice glass bowl for serving salads, mixing, etc. is always a reasonable, practical gift. If you need to ship the gift, table linens are a really great option because they aren't fragile and they can be easily stored if they couple has limited space in their home.

My cousin just got married and I got her some things from Wendell August Forge - there's tons of nice (sometimes personalized) things there - and even the cheapest of things are nice cause they're all handmade and designed - maybe I'm being partial because it's a local store to me but they send things all over the world and each item comes with a history of the store and how kings and queens have had things made and blah blah blah - but they have nice stuff and it's kind of neat and you can find the stuff online

A gift card to the store they are registered at, or store you know the happy couple likes to shop at so they can get something that they want or need at their discretion.

a gift certificate is always good, maybe get one for a place that she had a wedding gift registry to. Or just buy a card and place the cash in it.
