So next fall is the wedding and Im not sure whether to put my bridesmaid in black or brown dresses. Either way they will be holding roses. What do you think?
Thanks

I really like that dress and I LOVE the chocolate brown!
I think it will look fabulous for a fall wedding with multi color roses.
I got married in November and the colors were just beautiful.
Congratulations and good luck!!!

I'm not overly fond of black in weddings. Not only is it sometimes associated with funerals (not often, but stilll), it presents a harsh constrast to most other 'wedding' colours.
If your bridesmaids are going to be holding red roses, the red against the black is going to be harsh on the eyes. Brown will soften the colour and blend well for an eye-catching duo. Most coloured roses will complement the brown BEST. Pink and brown, purple and brown, even yellow and brown will be better than another choice.
Brown also goes well with fall wedding colours. Yes, it is a bit stereotypical but you want colours that are going to create a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere. It's your wedding day, and there will have been enough stress in the planning to allow for an uncomfortable colour scheme on your big day.
I would only recommend black if your bridemaids will be holding white roses. The white will keep a unified look, and the colours will not clash against one another in the pictures.

What are your other colors? What do the ladies prefer? Either one will look nice and both colors generally flatter many skin tones and body shapes.
Brown is a nice fall color and softer than black plus there are many shades to choose from. But black makes a strong statement, if that is what you are going for. I personally wouldn't go for a floor length black dress, it can be too much black. Red roses would stand out nicely against the black.
Either one is nice, maybe try on some of both at the stores until one strikes you.

if i go to another wedding and see the color chocolate (or any other shade of brown) anywhere in the color scheme.... i honestly think i'm gonna puke.
EVERYONE is using chocolate. Fall, spring, summer, winter. For the past 6 years, everywhere is chocolate!
Black is not taboo anymore. Dont be afraid of black. it actually looks really striking behind brightly colored (or even very drab) bouquettes. Another thing people have lost appreciation for is a great shade of Grey. Something different (i'm all down for some different)

That is a very nice dress. I think brown would look good, especially if the groomsmen are in a black tux. You do not want too much black.

Congrats on your wedding.....
Hope everything turns out good.
About the dress/ the one you picked is nice/ but do you really want to go that dark.
A wedding in the fall sounds nice/ the leaves on the trees change colors--that`s a cool background when you take your pictures.
< this color looks nice>

I got married in November and my colors were black and silver. Chocolate brown is very popular this year with turquoise!
