How formal should I go? The invite does not state formality, i.e. no black tie.

I am getting married with a solitaire engagement ring. How do I exchange the bands, do I still wear my engagement ring and just slip on the enhancer at the ceremony or the solitaire and the enhancer are now one ring? Do the bride/groom wedding bands necessarily have to match? Thanks for your answer.

In India many people marry strangers for benefits whom they never dated by a system of legalized prostitution. Normal guys like me go through so much pain finding dates and struggling to maintain relationships. The morons (such as those in workplace) who got married by cheap means get into nobody's business and ask us why we are not married yet etc. I feel like spitting on their face and yelling "I may be getting old but I will only marry when I find my love, and not marry because I'm so desperate to get laid". How do I deal with these morons? Is it not rude for them to ask such questions (goddamn it, they ask in job interviews *when* I'm getting married as if anyone knows)

Any advice? I'm newly engaged and have no idea. Is it tradition that the mother's parent(s) pay for the ceremony and reception (jewish)?

My wedding dress has a train attached and it is removable. i was wondering if it is normal for me to remove the train after the ceremony and the pictures are taken from the photagrapher. my fiance's mother says that i am supposed to keep the train on the whole day, but i don't want to hold the train while i am dancing. do you think i should just change the wedding dress. because i like the other one i picked out better. but my mother in law says that her son will like this one much better. and the other is okay but doesn't say that i am his forever like this one. i was thinking of getting the first dress for the ceremony and this one for the reception. my mother likes the first one better and i need both my parents and my in laws on the same page. so please don't say it's your wedding do what you want, because i want to make both of them happy.

My fiancee is catholic and I am not. We are thinking about getting married in a catholic church, what do we need to do other than talking to a priest about getting married in a church? Also, I was married previously at a justice of the peace and have been divorced. Any input would be appreciated. Have been told that may have to take classes and that they cost several hundred just for me to be married in the church since I am a non catholic.

if you caught your spouse having sex with another person, what would you do? I mean, you open the door, saw your spouse having sex with another person, what would you do at that moment. Would you leave that person forever?

I am in my mid 20s and lots of my friends are getting married, but one thing that is really bothering me is that all of them are expecting gifts, expensive gifts, not just at their wedding showers, but at their engagement parties, their bachelor/bachelorette parties and then also at their actual weddings. When I was growing up my parents taught me that a gift at the shower or at the wedding itself if you weren't invited to the shower was good etiquette, but my boyfriend get so embarrassed when everyone else brings gifts to every occasion and I insist that we are fine. Are we wrong for not bringing $50+ gifts to every event or are our friends wrong for expecting gifts at every event surrounding the wedding?

I've have female friends & acquaintainces who have bored me to tears for 2 years planning every detail of their wedding, right down to matching their flower ribbons to their cake icing and the like, but after 6 months or a year they are getting divorced/separated! Do they just want to be 'princess for a day' at the wedding and if so, isn't that a bit sad? Also, some brides have admitted to me that as soon as they get the first baby, they won't care about the husband at all. What's that all about!

I was in an a argument with one of the guest at a wedding reception. I was conversing with someone about someone. The person I was speaking of overheard my conversation. He was offened an a argument started. I was intoxicated and I can't remember how long the argument lasted or what was said. I do know that a friend of mine was told to take me home. Which make me believe everyone thinks I am wrong. If the argument caused that much of a scene means it would have upset the bride and groom. I want to apoligize to them. So should I just say I am sorry or should I get details on what happened and apoligized specifically for the wrongs that I have done.

I have expressed to my fiancé that I do not want them to go to a strip club or to hire a stripper. He's fine with that because he thinks that strippers are dirty and doesn't find them attractive. Before anyone says ANYTHING, I trust my fiancé more than anything. However, I do not trust his two groomsmen. Not to say that they aren't trustworthy, but I don't know them that well (I'm in a long distance relationship and I've met them once, but I didn't get to know them that well - my fiancé has moved several hours away from him hometown, where they still live). One of them is the type to deceive him and take him to a club or hire a stripper. I don't understand why it's tradition to have some nasty chick rubbing her junk in your face to celebrate getting married and watching women get naked? There's no reason he should behave like it's the end of the world and needs "freedom" for one last night and to lust after a woman or worse. He shouldn't be getting married if that's how he feels.
