I wore a cream colored suit, my husband a charcoal Grey suit. Very simple. My sister in law insisted on flowers, but I could have taken or left that.

I am so glad that you are seeking advice on this. My best advice from experience and being at and in many weddings is this. The wedding is all about the couple and the marriage is what is truly important. Wear what ever you want as long as you are not over dressed compared to what your partner is wearing. A sun dress, suit, Capri's and a nice top, nothing is wrong. Focus on your relationship and marriage not a one day event.

Congratulations and Good Luck!

I have seen Brides and Grooms wearing blue jeans and T-shirts and I have seen Brides and Grooms wearing bridal gowns and tuxedos.

Most couples just dress very simply . . the Bride can wear a nice dress and the Groom can wear a suit and tie.

It's YOUR day - wear anything you want to!!

My husband and I were supposed to be just picking up our marriage certificate at the courthouse but on impulse we just got married right on the spot then and there!

I was wearing yellow sweatpants and probably a t-shirt with our 4 month old on my hip with the hiccups.

I wouldn't change a thing about it. And yes, we are still together almost 12 years later.

I suppose it varies. Some people might just wear business casual, but people might also be using the JP for a more traditional ceremony and wear the usual formal getup.

I'm getting married in a courthouse in June, and I'm wearing an informal wedding dress.

Wear whatever you're comfortable in. My love wore his Dress Blues and I wore a black outfit.

I've seen some wear jeans and flipflops. Others wore a wedding gown. Still others wore biker clothes..

Wear what you want.

a simple white dress, like a satin sun dress with pearls can be really classy. The groom should where a black tie suit.
