Instead of going with a cake store, I found a local lady through my caterer, that just does amazing work with cakes and she's a lot cheaper than a cake store, we're gonna pay $155 for ours and it's gonna be a 3-tier spiral cascade cake that will serve 75 people, and each tier is a different flavor. She told me that most places will charge extra for different flavors and delivery and set up, but our price includes all of that!! and she tears everything down when we are done and also has little boxes that we can take any extra cake home with us. We were lucky to find her. Good Luck

My cake is going to cost 800.00 which is a little on the high side for 150 people but it is worth it. Some people make a really big deal out of what your wedding cake looks like. It is the best cake I have ever had before though. It is going to be 4 tiers and two different flavors with the fondant. Hope this helps.

My cake was included in the price of the reception. I wasn't all that thrilled with the artistry of the cakes I had to choose from, so I priced some cakes from outside bakers. They were anywhere from 4 to 20 dollars a slice! I decided to go with the one that was included in my wedding.

It depends on where you live, and the style of the cake, and the number of guest. I live in New York City and the average cost of a wedding cake starts at about $8.50 to $25.00 a slice, depending on who is designing your cake. I'm looking to get my cake from another state where the price falls between $1.50 to $8.50 a slice, which is much better.

My daughter just got married, very pretty pale pink 4 tier cake with edible pearls on it, served 225 people. The cost, free delivery, was $850.00. My advice is to make a simple drawing of what you want, how many people to serve, and get at least 3 bids on it. We learned that prices can vary drastically.

Didn't have the big fancy wedding cake for "show", but rather had traditional Ukrainian wedding breads, three tier braided breads, decorated and totally beautiful! After the donations, people were given wrapped traditional fruitcake, for them to take home, put under their pillows to dream on! My mom made it, and it served 200.

$480. It's a custom cake made for 75 people, 3 layers, with orange flavored cake and vanilla icing. It's a fondant cake with bamboo design.
