I am 24 and she is 23 and we live in Texas. She and her family are very traditional and conservative. Obviously, I've never proposed to a woman before, so I don't have any experience. Would it come off as presumptious if I bought the ring before asking for his blessing or do I bring the ring with me when I ask so I can show him what I will be giving to his daughter?
Any original ideas for a memorable proposal would also be helpful...however, ideas like "put the ring in a dessert," are too cliche. Thanks for all of your help, everyone!

I have a boyfriend and I we met when we were kids...and then I never knew anything about him because he and his family went to the united states for living definitely.
the situation is that 12 or 13 years later and that means 8 month ago, he contact me again (after all hese years, you know) and we started talking by phone (because he lives in the us of course) 5 months ago, he came here to the place I live (far away from the united states) to visit me and then we started a relationship...now, we`ve been a couple for 5 months eventhough we`re far away one of the other...the thing is that he says that he wants to marry me, that he is in love with me, that he doesnt want to lose me and thats why he wants to be with me forever...
The truth, I love him as well, Im in love with him. how could I be in love with a person who lives in another country? I dont know, but he is a very special person.
He says hes gonna pop the question at any time and i would marry him but, is he serious? tell me

have a list of the traditional wedding decorations for the ceremony and the reception? Like at the ceremony, there's the aisle runner and pew bows and other stuff, and at the reception, there's centerpieces and other stuff. I'm having a hard time finding a list of all these decorations, as I don't know them offhand. Please help!

We're having our wedding this summer, and we do not really have a kid friendly menu. We have about 3 younger kids under ten, and a 14 year old (who doesn't like either of the two meals we are serving). The place we're having the reception isn't exactly kid friendly itself, and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on kid meals I could ask the chef to make. He's an Italian chef by the way and said he can make whatever I'd like.

It's also a luncheon reception, but the only thing I can think of is chicken tenders or something like that. Any other ideas?

your having your wedding outside and there is no place to gather yourself before you have to be in front of 150 people and your groom? Anyone who has been in this position please give me some help. I just always thought there would be a place to check the make-up and fix your dress and all that stuff, but I guess there is not always that option, what do you do in that case? He will say things like "I'm sick of this sh-t i'm leaving" or "thats it i can't take this any more" then i get the silent treatment for a day or so then hes fine.But we never talk or resolve the problem he just acts like it never happened till the next fight then he may bring it up again.I never yell or fight dirty i just would like us to work out any problems/disagreements we may have.

I have two older sisters. Both are married, and both were payed by my parents. Now it's my turn, in fact almost here June 9th!! We are paying for 99.8% of it. They have payed MABEY 300-400$. Now i understand that being the last child it could be harder for them to pay for it, but it has been 14ish years since my oldest sister has married (10 years older than me) and around 4 1/2 since my other sister married(1 1/2 years older than me). Am I just acting like a spoiled brat? Or being unreasonable for thinking they would eventually suggest taking some of the financial burden off of us? We have been living together for 3 years, but so had my oldest sister when they got married. Just want to know your guys opinion...Thanks!!

it's May and it makes me wonder why most women want to marry in June? The bride and groom to bring in a cake for my husband. Is it appropriate to ask the bride and her husband to also allow me to bring a cake for my husbands' birthday or would that offend the bride and groom..the groom is my husband's first cousin.
