My wife is my best friend and I really want the gift I buy her for our anniversary to be special and unique. She wants to be traditional and go with the Paper Anniversary. I already write her songs, poems, and love notes. So i am really out of ideas. HELP

It depends on how much time and money you have to work with. You could go really elaborate and expensive and give her plane tickets that are printed on paper along with a paperback book about the place that the plane will take you.
If you are just an average couple you could order her stationary that is engraved or printed with her name on it. On the first one that is in the box you could write her a love letter about how you felt the first time you heard (or saw her) write or saw her new name with your last name as hers.
Give her a new paperback book and run her a nice bath to start the day off with. Then a coffee at starbucks (ordered to go so they put it in a paper cup). For lunch a picnic with paper plates. Afternoon a movie with paper tickets or a concert instead. Dinner is at a nice place (hopefully with paper napkins it depends on the place) Then to a nice bar (get a paper napkin there) for dessert and wine.
Tell her all about your paper theme for the day while you are driving home. (keep in mind the day was wonderful but, no big present yet) When you get home you open the door and in the center of the walkway is paper with words like love and soulmate things like that trailing to your bedroom. (this is all set up by a friend mind you) On the bed is your wedding liscense (get a nice necklace and lay on the bed or get a ring ask her to marry you again with it as her present). Tell her that of all the papers you have ever had in your life that this is the best one.

Paper...how about a scrapbook? Special patterned papers and a big book for her to start creating memories. Look in your local yellow pages for a store near you! Yes, there are whole stores for this! Ask the associate for the best starter album and tools.

OK Buy Her A necklace That is a heart and says I love you.
FLOWERS!! In a conversation get in to the theme of flowers and then ask her What are your favorite flowers and why?
Get off of work earlly. In you BED Get Red rose petals and spread them on the bed. With Champagne Or chocolates in the middle with a love you card.
Us girls love all that its just some ideas.

How about a scrapbook of the notes, cards, pictures and what not from the first year of your marriage? It's still mostly paper with the exception of the page protectors.

Have you ever gone to a spa? Why don't you get a gift certificate for you both to have a spa day for couples where you both can enjoy getting a relaxing treatment & spend it together! There's nothing better than spending the day with your lover & getting a fabulous massage.

I agree that a scrap book or collage of your relationship, or even just your first year together would be wonderful!
I love the things my fiance gives be that I can pull out when I'm feeling romantic, or need a boost in my day

For my husband's first anniversary present (paper), I cut out the page in my datebook where I'd written our first date, and had it framed.

Get a photo of you from your wedding. make a border and decorate it and frame it.
What did you do with your marriage certificate. You could get that framed and mounted.
You should think about getting her an eternity ring.
