I'm getting married this friday and have not been able to buy gifts for my attendants yet due to money constraints. I will be buying the gifts the day before the wedding so I can not buy anything online. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice gifts I can buy for each person? 1 best man, 1 maid of honor, 3 groomsmen, 3 bridesmaids, 1 flower princess (older), 1 ring bearer (younger)

Hello Everybody!

I have 5yo triplet girls as nieces and they are all my flower girls.

My fiancee has 3 nephews ages 13, 11, and 2,5 (all brothers).

Now, their mom decided that if my girls go to the ceremony it is fair that the boys are part too. The 2 older ones can be jr. groonsman (even if we do not have pair for them - they are way tooo tall to enter with the flower girls).

Every one in his family think the 2yo is capable of being a ring bearer. Problem is, I dont think he will walk down the aisle with lots of people looking at him. I can already see crying, running, and tension...

I thought of:
- Asking him to enter with an adult (grandma)
- Put him to enter holding hands with on of his brothers (the aisle is not so big to fit the 3 of them holding hands)
- Ask 1 of the triplets to give hands to him (not sure if will work because he doesnt go with strangers)

Any imput is welcome please!

My family is not wealthy at all, my parents live paycheck to paycheck. My soon to be husbands family live very comfortable and are secure financially. He says its the bride's family who has to pay. My parents are struggling, even putting aside mortgage payments. Is this fair?

Or have you already? I'd love to hear about it, it sounds pretty sweet... I am kind of tempted because I'm engaged and I really don't want the hassle with trying to keep everyone happy and do you invite the friends of the parents or the second cousins and all that... plus there is a lovely church on the edge of a village surrounded by fields where my fiance's grandad is buried, and it's such a tiny church, can't possible fit everyone in... I really want to elope there! Do you think the family might get angry?

What type of gift is appropriate, she mentioned that she has found the perfect gift for me already. What is the tradition with this stuff? Should I go with Diamond earrings, or something more sentimental?

Hello! I'm 29 years old and a practicing Catholic. My immediate family and extended family are all hard core Catholics. My boyfriend and soon to be fiance is Presbyterian. He is strong in his beliefs and faith. As a compromise I agreed to marry him in his Presbyterian church. I am wondering what kind of process we have to go through with the Catholic Church to make it 'valid' in their eyes. If you are part of a Catholic-Presbyterian(or protestant couple) I would really love to hear what you had to go through.

Thank you in advance for your time and answers. Serious answers only please.

I am looking for a great song to dance with my father to on my wedding day. I love Butterfly Kisses and I Loved Her First... the only thing is that he wasnt around for most of my childhood (from about age 5 to about age 13 or 14...) I am just wondering if anyone knows of a song that doesnt focus so much on growing up together but for the love and relationship we have developed now. I love country or something like Butterfly Kisses. any suggestions welcome.. Thanks

I really want to get married in Vegas. I helped my sister plan a big wedding, and I don't want to do that again. I've never really dreamed of the big church wedding. I really just want the day to be about him and me, and not have to deal with all the fluff.

Hello,

I am trying to make my guest list for the rehearsal dinner. Are you supposed to invite the paster to the dinner portion?? I am already including him to the reception. I wanted to know if it was customary or not. I am also including the organist who is a long time family friend and one of my bridesmaid's mother. This list is growing by the second..... but I don't want to be rude and forget anyone important!!!
Thanks for your help!!

According to a person that will remain nameless (not anyone on the grooms side) I was told that etiquette says that you can only dance at evening weddings. I love to dance and want to be able to dance with my new husband for the first time and also my father. The time of the wedding and reception can not be changed because we have to catch a plane immediatly after the reception. So my question is how current is this rule and does any one know where it came from so I can disreguard it. Also if anyone does not know where it came from let me know of people that had a noon wedding and still had a band and dancing.

As an 18 year old college student with a part time job that pays $10.34 an hour, should I give my friend $50 dollars as a wedding gift? I heard that it was $48 a seat, and that his goal was just to break it even. After buying a ps3 for myself, I really need to save up. But as a friend I can't be a cheap scake, especially at this significant and memorable time, so what should I do? Get him back later at my wedding ceremony?

i have 5 bridesmaids.. but my husband-to-be has 3 groomsmen.. I am going to get all my bridesmaids to walk down the isle but then have two bridesmaids sit down (in front row), so i have only my moh and sisters standing next to me for the ceremony.. At the reception because the place i have chosen (river cruiser) will only fit three bridesmaids with us and the groomsmen, these girls will have their own table with their boyfriends right next to mine, they will still be walking down the isle, will be in the bridal party photos, will do speeches etc.. just not actually standing next to me or sitting with me for the reception
Do you think the girls will be offended with this?

Neither of us are very religious I was raised catholic and he jehovah witness. We both left the churches we grew up with years ago and though we believe in god we both agree neihter one of us want belong to an organized religion.

So I'm trying to figure out what kind of ceremony to have...we both believe taking vows before god is important we are just unsure how to go about it.....I was thinking doing an outside ceremony with a minister keep it short and sweet focusing mainly on our vows and promise to eachother.......(some cremonies can be soooooo long & boring I don't want that AT ALL)

Any suggestions??
