I am looking for a great song to dance with my father to on my wedding day. I love Butterfly Kisses and I Loved Her First... the only thing is that he wasnt around for most of my childhood (from about age 5 to about age 13 or 14...) I am just wondering if anyone knows of a song that doesnt focus so much on growing up together but for the love and relationship we have developed now. I love country or something like Butterfly Kisses. any suggestions welcome.. Thanks

If you want something a bit more generic to dance to, a song I've always loved for this dance is "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

Not country, but we used the Louis Armstrong version of "When You Wish Upon a Star" and everyone loved it. I got caught up in trying to find a song where the words describe me and my dad's relationship perfectly and just couldn't find one. One day I came across When You Wish Upon a Star and even though the words aren't extremely profound, they certainly express what most parents want for their children. Hope this helps! :-)

i love butterfly kisses by bob casile i think it is but if not you should get his album. there are plenty of father daughter things on there as his album was for her. have a look
