One of my distant friends is getting married this weekend; while this person invited everyone else in our circle of mutual friends weeks ago, he did not invite me.

When we spoke today, I jokingly asked, "So, where's my invitation?" expecting that, perhaps, there was not enough room, etc. He said, "Oh, you'll be getting one."

However, he told me on Tuesday night that I would be getting an invitation (I haven't actually received it yet) - and the wedding is on Friday evening! I might not see the physical invitation until Wednesday or Thursday, and until then, I won't know the time nor place! I won't have any time to get a wedding gift, let alone find something to wear.

Even if I do not attend, am I still expected to get a gift, seeing as that I'm on such short notice?

one is not married and has two children, one is not married. I have one daughter who I have always dreamed of having a fairy tale wedding for. My daughter also would like a memorable wedding. The problem is that when I mention this my husband brings up the amount of money this will cost us. I have good job myself work 4 days a week. We have many disagreements over money. He is an accountant and he is very frugal with money. My daughter has met a wonderful guy and I know she will be getting married in the next few year. I know there is going to be a blow out with us when this happens. Do you think it's wrong to want a really nice wedding for her. I never had a big wedding but I know she would like one and I want her too. Is there any advice you could offer me?

Does the bride participate in the rehearsal or does she use a stand-in?

She has asked me to be her maid of honor at her wedding but I can't in good conscience ask her to be mine. We are not very close anymore and we live very far apart. The whole situation is very complicated but I know when I tell her this she'll just stop talking to me altogether... I don't want to destroy our friendship. (Also we are planning a destination wedding since my fiance and i would prefer a small wedding) Suggestions? Anyone else having problems with childhood friends?

When I originally put my wedding party together, it was only going to be 3 bridesmaids and they were all related. I had told one of my friends that. But after awhile, 2 more got added. They are not related but I am super close with them. Well I knew my friend Sonia was going to be doing my wedding dress alterations, and I sent one of my non related friends her way to have their dress altered by her too. Sonia told my friend that she is definately not going to my wedding because she thought we were closer than that. I'm worried because she all ready has my dress at her house! I'm not even suppose to know she is offened. What should I do? How should I tell her that I hope she's not offended by not being in my wedding? Do you think she'll hurt my dress? I'm mad myself because she would be so caddy to refuse to go to my wedding. Am I over reacting? Help please!

Anyone know where I can find this???????
Any kind of cardstock with embossing or design, with western, and hearts will do.

Thanks

Hey, I need an online site in which I can order decent sized chocolate boxes. I need them to distribute to people along with wedding cards. Hence, I need them to be nice looking, the price doesn't matter too much, and they need to be a good size; they can't be too small. I want the chocolate boxes to look nice, since I'll be giving them to people along with my wedding invite. Thanks in advance!

Is it correct to list bride's mother first if the parents are divorced? Please let me know if the etiquette rules are being followed.

I need about 20 round table clothes 120inches and overlays. I've heard that renting is only a bit less than buying.
Does anyone who any websites where I can order them?
They will be Rust/Copper color or similar.

How long before the wedding should we send out invitations?

When I got married the first time around, my mum invited my future in laws to sit and discuss the wedding. All these years later, my son is getting married (tomorrow) and his new in laws have not even bothered to call us.
In fact like I posted else where we (my sons family) are not invited, do you think I should protest or let it slide, I know its late as the wedding is tomorrow. But Im so angry at them right now, I just wanted to know was I wrong in expecting them to contact me. This wedding happened so suddenly. Im still in a daze, Ive simply now just backed off.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years and have a daughter. The past 2 years have been very tough with personal problems and we stuck through it..now we want to get married because we know we can overcome anything..but the familes have grown apart...I know they say all in-laws hate each other, but my family and his family can not be in the same room without a fight breaking out. My family hates him and his family really doesn't want us to get married..now the question......should we elope or go for a bigger wedding where there is a chance people won't go.

The wedding is in July, I'm wearing lace, it's more formal than casual, our theme if I had to sum it up would be "vintage." Any ideas using feathers (like peacock feathers, goose biots, etc.) or pearls? I'd like to stay away from flowers and tulle.

I will be buying the gifts the day before the wedding so I can not buy anything online. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice gifts I can buy for each person? 1 best man, 1 maid of honor, 3 groomsmen, 3 bridesmaids, 1 flower princess (older), 1 ring bearer (younger)
