I'm not married yet (despite my user name) but thought about getting a spinning ring. Is that a good idea?

I have very small (or would that be thin?) fingers, so I had to pick something where the design or diamonds wouldn't wrap all the way around.

I found a ring that was completely unique in this huge jewelry mart jewelry store. It was perfect for me! (the initial mark of the person who made it were going to be my new initials and it had laurel leaves on the sides--that's my name)

I felt like whoever made this ring made it just for me and the jeweler said it could be sized down without ruining the look of the ring.

If you're talking about actually designing your ring. Start thinking of the things you like or that have special meaning to you (I have a friend who designed rings that looked slightly like dolphins because they loved dolphins) and stylize a ring to represent that.

I looked at several jewelry sites as I wanted a colored gem stone instead of a diamond. I was actually looking at lavender colored tanzanites, but I kept finding blue topaz that I liked. I was out shopping one day and say a beautiful blue topaze with 1 1/2 carat octagon center stone with a row of 3 round diamonds on either side and then a trilliant cut blue topaz on each side of that. I fell in love instantly, so much in fact that Im having a hard time finding a wedding ring to match it and decided I would rather not have a wedding ring than give up my engagement ring. It's gonna be your engagement ring for life so you should get what you want. I have seen some beautiful spinner rings. Nowadays women are choosing something other than the traditional diamond ring. Congrats.

HI, Im getting married this year and I have just picked mine.
I have a white gold engagement ring so needed a white cold wedding ring. I didnt fancy a plain one as I dont really like them and other ones you get in the sets are a bit manly, The I saw the perfect one that matches my engagement ring its a white gold ring with like a twist of diamonds in the middle. It matches my engagement ring as that has diamonds in it too but one big diamond in the middle and 3 on the shoulders of the ring. So this one matches perfectly.

i don't know were you live but i went to Brighton they have beautiful shopping lanes there full of antique jewellers that sell new and antique rings when you see the ring you want and you try it on you will just know just like how you will feel when you put on your wedding dress mine is a platinum band with a row of diamonds across it there is loads to choose from it is worth a trip down.
Go down for the weekend get a nice hotel. the shopping is great not just for wedding rings.

congrats on you engagement and all the best for the future

I always just wanted a plain band. My engagement ring is a solitaire diamond on a U-shape platinum setting on an 18ct ring. It looks very simple, but 'sophisticated', so I just wanted a plain band to match it! My mum has quite an ornate wedding ring, and although she still loves it, wishes she'd have thought about a plain one too. When you see the one you want - you'll know!!

Actually it wasn't hard for me to decide what kind of wedding I wanted because my fingers are small I decided that I wanted just a plain gold wedding band to go with my engagement ring, but you just have to start trying on rings and go from there. hope this helped

I like something a little bit different and unique....when you find the perfect one, it will just jump out at you and catch your eye even among all the other beautiful rings.

I have very small/petite hands so I knew I didn't want it to look gaudy....but at the same time, I didn't want a thin simple band.

Just walked into a jewellry store at the mall, checked out what they had, tried on a few, and picked one we liked and that looked ok with the shape of my engagement ring. It only took about 20 minutes, too.

i went for the traditional gold band! (guess my husband to be was plased after it cost him a bomb with the engagement ring!!!!)
there's no better way to show off an engagement ring, by a plain gold band slided over it!
after all......it'll help husbands start saving for an eternity ring after that!!!!
lmao
