She already gave my cousin two sofas already.
She doesn't work,so she'll have to look at bambi's head on the wall all day, ugh!

You are so right, she just got out of a bad relationship,so this is like a "rebound" marriage.

surprises like this are what happen when the people who are going to get married FAIL TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER.

it's her fault she didn't discuss how they were going to live, and each other's taste in home decor.

this is probably just a little taste of what is to come... he will likely want to control everything else, too.

You they are both living there and if she doesn’t like living in a house decorated like that then she should speak up. You should be happy and comfortable where you live. I think that being with someone who has a different style and then choosing to live with that person may take some compromise, but in relationships sometimes you have to compromise to make things work. Add some things that they both like, maybe decide on a different theme one they both can agree on I’m sure he does not want his wife to miserable in her house of dead animals.

I think that there needs to be a middle ground, the guy needs to have "his space" whether that be the basement and it made into a den where he can hang out with the guys and she needs to be able to decorate parts of the house her way also.

I'd stay out of it because it is their decision how they handle this.

While that decor sounds dorky to me, marriage has a lot of little defeats and a lot of victories. If he gets his way on this one, she may get her way on something else. I'm trying to avoid the cliche "marriage is give and take" but it is.

Again, stay out of this. She's married and a big girl, so it is her battle, not yours.

If he isn't home often he should decorate maybe his den/study and his bathroom but I believe the wife should have the majority choice of the house decor.

Definately not go along with it!! That's fine if he wants to decorate "a" room, but not the whole house, that's just ridiculous, considering she "is" his wife and all! Isn't marriage all about emotional negotiation? ;)

if i was her i would never accept, CZ if she's only a house wife and she doesn't work she's the one that going to be sitting in the house looking at it all day and in that case it should be comfortable. and besides the man always works and just comes home and sleep.

I would think these are issues that would be discussed at some point. It would be tough to have such things "stored" somewhere without drawing some curiosity. I personally wouldn't want these items all over the place, but that's my opinion.
