Novi Center. Not sure on the prices.

We had our reception at the Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn: http://www.henryfordestate.com
All of our guests had a wonderful time. The food was great and the service was excellent. There website has their catering menu you so you can check out the prices. We had a brunch for about $28 per person, but a dinner reception will probably cost you about $50-60 per person.
I've been to receptions at dinners at the following places as well:
Omni downtown Detroit - food was so, so
Ritz Carlton - food was great
Andiamo Italia in Warren - food was great
Seldom Blues downtown Detroit - I love this place!

Crank's Banquet Center in Warren. They are located on Hoover and 696. The food is excellent and the rooms are beautiful. The standard cost for a 2 meat, buffet, with a 4 hour open bar is $26.95.

Best Western Concorde worked well for me! We went with it because our guests could just stay there and not have to drive after drinking, AND because a lot of the other places I checked would have multiple weddings on the same day...who wants to see 3 other girls in white dresses on THEIR big day?!?

The promenade thingy was great for ambiance and also for my pictures. We started with cocktail hour out there, and then moved in for dancing and eating. Food was GREAT, champagne at the head table wasn't too bad either :)
Oh ya, and the afterparty at the honeymoon suite was awesome! its HUGE, if you rent the ballroom you can get it for just $100 bucks.

Hey, try Sheraton in Novi. We hosted a gathering months ago and it was superb.
