Even though they are they right size, Gardenia's turn brown in the heat, so I'm trying to find a similar size flower, white, not TOO much smell, and HARDY... so it will last in th california sun for a few hours... Any suggestions? (Fake flowers are not an option.) Thanks!

I suggest using an orchid. They are very simple and pretty, and always look lovely as boutonnières and corsages, so I figure they'd look gorgeous set in your hair! I provided a few links to show you exactly how'd it look!

hope this helps, best of luck!

Well i'm not sure how it holds up in hot weather, but if you can get a white dahlia it would look beautiful.

You should do research on specific types of flowers or just stop in at a flower shop or garden centre and ask questions about certain flowers you like. Good luck!

You will need a tropical type flower that can stand the heat and humidity (from your head) As others have suggested, go with Orchids, they are extremely hardy, dont smell or stain clothes, and look beautiful

White orchid. Orchids are very very hardy. Most white flowers will wilt in the sun but orchids are pretty strong.

White baby roses - they's pretty, have a faint smell and will last all day.

Congratulations.... baby roses are beautiful and with little smell, I think would be perfect (for your perfect day). Your groom could even wear one on his lapel to match.
