Well, i'm into romance, but i'd much rather have a unique engagement than a romantic one. There's always valentines day for that stuff! Your engagement is a one time deal, and it should be spectacular!
I think if my boyfriend had proposed on a plane, I would have loved it. However, I am an attention lover, so having all those people there would have been awesome! I would love to be able to say that I got my ring on an airplane going on vacation or somewhere really nice. I think your idea is very romantic because of how unique it is. You are thinking of her, and that's the most romantic part. Those girls who said it isn't romantic are fools. It truly is. You sound like you really care about how she'll feel!
Also, you know her better than I do, so if you don't think she'd like something like that, than I wouldn't suggest it, but if she is the type of girl who would like something unique and memorable, then of course, do it!
I hope everything works out, best of luck!

It is sweet thinking, but I would say no because it is a semi-private time and you will be stuck on the stinkin plane with a bunch of people and you will want to be alone with eachother. Plus, getting in and out of airports is a really stressful time these days and that may kind of ruin the moment or even the memory of it for you and your future wifey. Best of luck!
PS - I love the way my fiance proposed to me, BUT my dream way (don't tell him) would have been if he would have snuck in a put the ring on my finger while I was sleeping, so when I woke up it would just be there. Then he would be waiting and when I noticed it, he wouldn't even have to ask, because I would probably have been screaming YES YES YES!!! Well thats just an idea for you!

I personally wouldn't like it if my bf proposed to me on a plane. You're so squished with everyone else, there's no room for excitement (hugging, etc) so it could be a bit embarrassing. I'd way rather he propose in private once we actually arrive to the destination!
I would really not like to be proposed to in public (restaurant, etc) and would much prefer it in private, even at night on a desserted beach or something like that. I just don't think a plane would be very romantic or comfortable...
Sorry! Great to hear you're thinking outside the box, though!! Good luck!

Yes! Make sure the crew knows before hand and slip them a boombox with your special song on it. Have everyone board before you and make sure you are the last two to board, or tell her you dropped something and to save you a seat on the plane. Have the crew keep a seat up front so she thinks your stuck up there, and just after take off and when you can move about the plane, have the crew play your song as your walking towards her seat, then bend down on one knee and pop the question.
You can do the same thing before you land as well, that way the strangers will remember the flight as well.

Not in a commercial plane,
maybe if you were in helicopter during holidays...
I think is more romantic if you could print some really big cartel and put it in street or house, or in a romantic dinner,
or even during holiday, they are restaurants that prepare "special" desserts where you can hide the ring... In Cancun there is a hotel, "Le Meridien" where you can order in advance dinner on the beach and this dessert

unless there's some sort of significance to planes in your relationship, (ie, you met on one) i wouldnt do it.
as for other places, it's really up to you. try to find a place or idea that has some special significance to the both of you. romantic restraunts are a classic, and so are picnics in a park and also the beach if there's one near you.
if you're traveling abroad perhaps somewhere that you plan on specifically visiting would be a good place? again, it's up to you and what's special for you both! :)
best of luck to ya!

If you both like fly then its a great idea
Fly first class and on the way there get a meal tray slip the ring under it and when she opens it say some heartfelt words like " when we first meet you flew into my heart now i want to fly away with you for the rest of my life! Will you Marry me?
Good luck!

Great Idea. Maybe you can use the stewardess's microphone and propose over the mic so everyone can hear.
