Certainly! Black is very elegant and classy. In fact, my bridesmaids and mother are wearing black to my wedding and it will look very elegant. And don't they usually say that every girl needs a little black dress? This would be the perfect occasion for you wear one!

It would depend on if the wedding is at night, or during the day. Also if the wedding has some sort of theme. You don't want to be the only one wearing an all black dress if they are having a wedding that is laid back or has a tropical feel. But on the norm, black dresses are usually reserved for evening events to signify a more elegant feel.

No. You should avoid wearing a black, white, or red dress, as a guest at a wedding.

In various parts of the country it can be seen as VERY offensive to wear black to a wedding. It represents mourning, or that you don't approve of the wedding couple.

Sure, the younger generation may not notice or care, but you don't want someone's grandma to have her day ruined. Just don't take the chance.

You must already know that there might be something wrong with it, or you wouldn't have asked-- Right?

Usually if it is an evening, black tie or winter wedding that should be okay. Some brides now in days wear black wedding dresses (I did). Unless the bridesmaids are wearing black, that could be confusing. Also if the bride specifically told people not to wear black, if the dress is nice looking I don't see why you shouldn't be able to wear it.

Depends on the type of wedding. Evening weddings , black dresses are appropriae. At more traditional weddings, No. I think if you ever have to wonder if something is appropriate, it probably isn't.

Generally speaking.. if the ceremony is in the late afternoon (after 4pm or so) it is ok to wear black but if it is anytime before that then you should go with something a little lighter.. even a medium grey color would be acceptable (and is one of Pantone's spring colors for 2007).

The party, yea, but probably not the wedding service. I'm not positive though. It also depends how revealing it is. If it is a Jewish Wedding, remember to cover your shoulders!

If the invitation says "white tie" or "black tie," then you fairly could positioned on something formal. If not, positioned on something semi-formal. it will be notably, yet not overly fancy. because of the fact the marriage is at a church, and this can be the bride's day, it is respectful to be on the modest area. which means, to not tutor too lots dermis or determine could tutor. you choose the spotlight to be on her. and don't overlook to positioned on a grin!
