I would knock out Christmas and just have a winter fairy tale theme, those two will go well together, or just have a Christmas wedding since that theme is one in itself. All three wont combine nicely I dont think. But if you split them, you can have an awesome wedding and just an FYI, for your winter fairy tale, if you have the wedding in Jan or Feb you will REALLY save money since thats the time of year that is least likely to have a wedding, the prices are usually much MUCH cheaper during those 2 months.
Good luck!

Well, it's is pretty hard to do Christmas without winter because they tend to go together. A Christmas Fairy Tale wedding is a wonderful idea! I would suggest white, teal and silver and go more winter fairytale then anything - because those colors in themselves are very elegant and if done right, will give a fairytale feeling right from the beginning.

My sister had a Christmas wedding. Christmas is such a stressful time already that based on my experience, I would strongly advise you against it! It's really hard on everybody. The wedding party, the guests, the families. There's enough going on that people have to do at the holidays. Winter and fairy tale themes seem to work better together. Christmas is kind of a stand-alone theme. Teal, white, and silver would be beautiful for a winter theme.

I love the winter and fairy tale idea, as has already been said I'd avoid Christmas, think of the expense that people have already paid for presents for family, it could be an added financial burden to have a wedding around that time of year. I know many people do and if that's your dream then of course you must follow it. Teal and white would be lovely with accents of silver, or think of icy colours like ice blue, that would also look pretty with white and silver.

As a wedding planner I can tell you that you want to make you wedding a small of a hassle as it already is. Dont set out trying to do an exact theme or you may turn into bridezilla. Those are excellent colors choices although gold can be almost impossible to work with . The red and silver would be just as beautiful. If you really want gold- use it as an accent color - make sure its all the exact same tone and have it very subtle. Teal, white and silver, in my opinion is going to be gorgeous!
If you havent done so already check out davidsbridal.com- they have an interactive program called "dress your wedding" You can experiment with the color schemes to get an idea- dont worry if you arent using Davids- its just a tool to make it all easier.
Hope this helps- Good luck and Congrats!!!

For a winter wedding you could use the colours white silver and ice blue. You could use white and ice blue flowers surrounded by candles for the centrepieces, white and blue menus and invitations etc with silver metallic writing and fairy lights and candles to light up the venue instead of overhead normal lighting to give it a wintry feel. Also you could use white linen for the table cloths and cover the chairs in white or white faux fur. Goo cake ideas could incorporate snowflake designs or snowmen etc.
For a christmas wedding you could use decorated christmas trees in your chosen clour for the ceremony or the reception instead of the usual flower arrangements and good colours that can be used are red and gold or green as these are all festive colours. For wedding favours you could use miniature chritmas style gift boxes filled with sweets or miniature snow globes or even red ad white striped candy canes and can have a christmas themed wedding cake with reindeers or christmas trees or snowflakes or even snowmen as decorations. Another centrepiece idea could be to use baubles or holly wreaths or candles in reds and golds without even having to use flowers.
For either the christmas or the winter wedding you could wear a faux fur shawl or cape or a dress with long sleeves to represent the cold months.
As for the fairytale theme you could use a cinderella theme with a horse and carriage or for the centrepiece you could use glass slippers filled with flowers in white ivoey or champagne colours. Pale pink and peach could also work well and you could stickwith the cinderella theme by making sure that you and the groom leave the party at midnight, like the story. As for your dress you could wear a flowing white dress with a train and a tiara for your head.
I hope some of this is useful. All of your ideas sound lovely but it's just down to you to decide which one is best. If you need any more ideas you could try www.favorideas.com and use the link for winter weddings or you could do an image search on yahoo or google and see what you can come up with.
Best of luck for your wedding.

It's not too much, but don't put your wedding date too awfully close to Christmas. The closer to Christmas you become the more stressed people are as well as the more holiday parties you have to contend with. An early December wedding would still have all of the holiday season charm without a lot of the stress.
There are a lot of different routes you could go with this. A candlelit ceremony, a bridal cape over your dress when you go outside (similar to this http://www.princessbridetiaras.com/newsite/pbt_products/shawls.shtml you can get cylinders for centerpieces and place ornaments with your colors inside of them! Many venues will already be decorated for the Christmas season, so that cuts down on having to decorate as well.
Red and Gold is a beautiful color combination for that season! And so many decorations can be bounced off of this combo of colors as well. Poinsettias, ornaments, candlelight bouncing off the gold... and no color really clashes with this combination if you choose to be somewhere that a Christmas tree is present.
Good luck with your planning and I'm sure it will all turn out beautifully!

I also agree with everyone about the Christmas motif. We are usually bombarded with it for nearly two months before Christmas and the decorations lose thier punch.
I think that teal is a little warm, like the color of the Caribbean. For a more wintery look, use aqua and maybe some snowflake confetti and centerpieces. You could probably use clear glass candleholders. Maybe pull out some ornaments to give you some ideas.
If you want to go red, maybe go burgundy and a dark forest green, like a plaid fabric with gold threads woven in. Use roses and/or carnations instead of poinsettias with the tiniest bit of gold accents in the centerpieces.

A Christmas Fairy Tale wedding is wonderful. Have light teal for your bridesmaid dresses and silver ribbon in their bouquets of winter white stargazers.
For the men, dark grey suits with light grey pinstripe shirts.
Arrive at your Winter Wonderland reception in a white carriage with white horses.
Reception - Bare trees with soft twinkling lights glowing amid white sheets draped as soft canopies and candles flickering on round mirror centerpieces with coconut snow on the tables.
As for favors take small boxcar trains and fill with white sacks with gold ties of mints, nuts or candy.
