Weddings - January 2007

My Family is very large and very close so my side of the wedding is going to be very large. However my soon to be husband doesn't really enjoy his familys company and Has only chosen to invite 3 people from his family and only a couple of friends. So I feel bad. Can I just have everyone sit together instead of on seperate sides?

mycousin recently asked me to be her chief bridesmaid and now i look at the invitations it is stated that someone else is the matron of honour, which i thought was the chief bridesmaid, when i asked her she said that i am the chief bridesmaid but because this other lady is married and i am not she has to be called matron of honour not bridesmaid? is she just filling me with a non truth and really this other lady is chief?

I have been with this man for almost 3years. We have been through so SO MUCH things alot of relationships would normally not with stand. We got in engaged xmas before last.(2005) (he wanted a long engagement) and we are suppose to be getting married in June. I feel this past year I have seen him for who he really is, and its not good. He has changed so much already I dont want to marry him anymore!!!! But all our friends are so happy are parents are so happy and they are working so hard on the wedding. But I dont want to do it!! I feel trappped almost b/c i dont want to hurt everybody or him. HELP ME!!! Please be sensible.

a) an icy winter wonderland, colors would be white and ice blue. There would be specialty drinks that would be ice blue, and it would be ultra formal.

b) a summer picnic, with casual food, held outdoors, colors brown and violet. It would be a buffet and very informal.

c) a fall, elegant, wedding, ultra formal, held outdoors with the food being most appetizers and desserts. There would be a lot of gold trimmings, but it would not be a main color. It would have the same kind of atmosphere as an event at a formal winery

Im getting married in June. My father passed away when I was 15 and his best friend has stepped up and been the father figure for my brother and I. So, I asked him to give me away for my wedding and were gonna do the father-daughter dance but I cant find a song for the life of me. I cant find a song that doesnt talk about him being my real dad, doesnt say he was around when i was born, doesnt say anything about him being involved romantically with my mom. Does anybody have any suggestions?? Please help!

I have done searches on yahoo and google and comcast and I have looked at TONS of pics through them. I have searched websites and I have searched through the image search. I have a very good friend who met this guy in they got engaged 4 months later. She always complained to me about him being selfish, thoughtless, she didn't like that he is another ethnicity, didn't like his name, ALWAYS complained about something concerning him!! Now, she is mad at all of her friends because she decided to marry him and we are all concerned about it. I have told her that she needs to tell us good things about him, but she doesn't and still expects everyone to be so happy for her. She doesn't get why we are hesitant to be so celebratory about something we have never felt she really wanted! She is even trying to change his name because it sounds too ethnic! I don't even know what to say to her! People are saying her myspace reads like she is getting married only to have a wedding. I don't think she would do that - but I cannot even talk to her about it because she is so defensive about everything. But I also cant just forget everything she complained about!

I'm attending the wedding of two Marine Corp. privates tomorrow who have just finished boot camp and are due to be deployed overseas. As one gift, I'm giving them a bottle of very good champayne. However, I want to include champayne glasses. I have a pair that were last used thirty-six years ago toasting my wedding, which ended in divorce. I wanted to pass these glasses on to my daughter, but she has no plans to marry even though she is living with a Marine. Although, this young couple are not related to me, I thought they may enjoy and have better longevity with the glasses than I. Should I give them to the USMC privates or save them for my daughter's wedding? Help. . . the wedding is tomorrow at Noon.

Hi All,

I am getting married in the Summer and my fiance and I are up to our necks planning the big event. One of things we are organising at the moment is the flowers.

My fiance wants a nice boquet, along with smaller ones for the 2 bridesmaids, then there is table decorations for 8 tables at the afternoon reception.

After visiting a florist, she has come back to us with a quote of around £350 - does this sound reasonable ?

Any opinions appreciated.

I got my ingagement ring first and then added my wedding ring when I got married. My mom said this was right but my sister trys to tell me the wedding ring should be put on first when getting married and then put the engagement ring back on. which is right?
