my brother is consantly picking his nose. it gets worse when he gets in the car with me its every 10 secounds help. how can i stop him its embarsing help

If you can, take a picture of him doing this with your mobile, this worked for me, my husband is a in the car nose picker too, he stopped after I threatened to show everyone the email i turned it into.

Picking is a an OCD, I read up on it. Most people grow out of it, but its a hard habit to shake.

my answer to habits is always negative reinforcement...everytime he does it, do something painful..pinch him, poke him or something....he will stop. and as he stops...switch to positive reinforcement...if he goes the entire car ride without diggin in his nose, then buy him some ice cream, or take him to a movie or something.

Tell him it causes cancer and he'll die if he doesn't quit. Then show him a pic online of people with skin cancer. lol!!!!! That should help him to stop.

let him no the embrassing aspect of it. anything you are with him and he feels like picking caution him gradually he will stop

Tell him to stop ..... if it's a habit he wants to break....pepper his finger.....he may need a dr's appointment....sign of worms.
