Bubbles are fun at weddings. A possible problem with them is that they can stain little circles onto your dress. At my wedding we used lavender seeds instead of birdseed. You can buy it in bulk online. It looked pretty in the pictures (purple on its way through the air), smelled good, and was something a little different. Just make sure you ask your location about clean-up if you plan on using any of these indoors.

Bubbles would be nice for outdoor weddings because the floor does get slippery. Birdseed is a great environmental idea. I disagree with those that say people will slip on it but it could get messy. I say for a night time wedding you should set off some fireworks, that would be beautiful. Congrats.

Do bubbles, its fun for everyone, and it just looks so good. It will keep the kids happy and everyone will love it. You could also rent a bubble machine for larger bubbles as well. Get the kids to be infront so they can do most of the blowing, some might not join in, but i am sure the majority will do so. The pics will look great. Look for bubbles that wont be a hazard for staining though. But you dont hear much about bubbles being that big of a mess.

We had bubbles for children and grass seed for the adults to throw! However, since we stayed throughout the reception and were leaving town the next day, there werren't that many people still there, so no one really threw anything at us! So it was basically a waste of money for us. But the bubbles provided VERY good entertainment for the kids during the reception!
It's up to you! And FYI in my opinion, you do not need enough of whatever you have (bubbles or seeds) for every person attending!
In my experience enough for half is plenty! The older people aren't going to throw anyway!

Use birdseed! That is a great idea. Bubbles just make a mess and soap isn't the best for the environment.

At my daughters nite time wedding we had sparklers for everyone. It looked really nice as the couple were walking out with all the sparklers going off around them. Made for nice pictures as well. Birdseed is nasty and will get stuck in you hair and cleavage.

I had a nighttime wedding and we just did the bubbles since we were going to stay for the entire reception and not leave early. Bubbles look nice in pictures of you two dancing. We have one of us dancing surrounded by bubbles, and it is my favorite picture from our wedding. Good luck and have fun!

Birdseed + Bride's Hair = No Good.

Fiber Optic wands are nice and less dangerous than sparklers and a little more sophisticated than glow sticks. LOL.

Bubbles that way no one will have to clean up the birdseed. Also bubbles are cool.

Bubbles sounds cute! Birdseeds may cause someone to slip&fall if it's night time.
