marriage a between us and live apart until we have that big church wedding with our famillies let me say bill and i are not kids we are in our 30's are we wrong for keeping our marriage so hush hush or weis doingthe right thing by eloping?

I would elope and then have a big party and make your big announcement that your married. It's your life. What are they going to say once it's done. They will be pissed for a couple weeks then move onto sticking their nose in other peoples lives. Just go and be happy. Marriage is hard enough without adding everyone else into it as well.

Why get married and then live apart, and then get married again? I don't think you can do that, you could get married and have a church blessing, but I don't understand why you still have to live apart? In the end do what you like, it's your wedding after all. There is nothing wrong with keeping your marriage quiet if you so wish to, there is really nothing right or wrong anymore, weddings are about what the couple want.

Do what you feel is right. My husband and I were going to elope but eventually we felt that not only would our guests miss out but we would too and I am glad that we had the wedding we did. Mind you we didn't have a huge church do or anything, just a small register office and a party in the local pub. Happy memories!!!

Baby...I got married in Reno city hall-Reno chapel...highway robbery....stay in town! Is it so important to have a church wedding...will that make you stay married after a big fight. I know more divorced people who were married in church and still don't know was their vows mean. I will say this at least go on a honeymoon. If you believe in god he'll know you're married, it's up to you to stay married. How much to do believe in the person you're marrying? Will you love him when he makes a BIG mistake, or when he lies (yeah we women are big on the lying crap), how about when he farts all night, or talks in his sleep about fishing or football, or when he buys you a toaster for your anniversary or how about when he spends your 25th anniversary with his friends and forgets to come home! Will you still love him?? You better!!! Being that stupid he needs someone to take care of him. point is do you love him..if he means the world to you...if he make you smile like your Daddy did he could be the right one for you. Will you stand by him-marry him anywhere!! If he's the one (and they only come around once and a while) grab him and never let him go....True love ways..Buddy Holly Love Mom

We went to city hall.. with.. my wife's family there. No reason to keep it secret, and probably a bad idea to keep it secret.
