I need to register for my wedding soon. I have made a list of things I need to register for, but I want to be sure I am not missing anything obvious.

Please post what you found most useful on your registry

or

What someone might overlook, while registering.

BTW: I (we) have nothing. Both of us live with our parents, so there is nothing we already have.

Hello all!
I'm hoping this dynamic community can help me with a marriage proposal. I'm 26 years old and am planning on proposing marriage to my 24-year-old girlfriend sometime soon. We have been dating for 5 years now, and everything is ready. I bought the ring and everything.

But I'm having a hard time coming up with a creative, yet meaningful, marriage proposal. I dont want to just take her out to dinner and get down on one knee - I want it to be more special and meaningful to her than that. She doesnt have that many outside hobbies, so I cant play off of that.

The one thing we do have in common is where we met - at college (which is 500 miles away from where we live now). But I cant think of anything creative to do there....

Any ideas for this helpless guy? Thank you in advance!

i was wondering about this for quite a while now.. if you're getting married for example on September 2007 & someone from your family died - grandma or grandpa 2 or 3 months before the wedding and you still continued with what you have planned, will that be badluck for the newly wed couple?

someone had told me - if someone from your family died - your DAD OR MOM prior to the wedding and you still continued with the wedding, something bad will happen to the newly wed couple - they will have badluck all their lives, blah blah blah... in order to avoid or prevent the badluck, you have to postpone the wedding and wait 45 days after the death or a year after the death of that person.

can someone please tell me if this is true? please? im kinda worried. my boyfriend and i have plans already - we're getting married in october 2007 and his grandpa is sick (he's got lung problems and high blood pressure and he's been in and out of the hospital lately).

thanks in advance guys!

I belong to this group and this girl is talking about the bad storm that came threw here and knocked over her tree and its going to cost about 1200 to chop it up and hall it away. She made the comment that they were going to wait because then they would have extra money. Isnt that ridiculas?

I am going to a bridal showcase/wedding expo. All the local vendors and things will be there. What can I do to prepare? What do I need to bring? What questions do I need to ask certain vendors? I am getting married in November and have not planned/done anything yet, so I need to talk to lots of vendors at this expo! Any suggestions?? Thanks!

My inlaws to be have ever so generously "helped" my wedding party go from 3 bridesmaides to 5 with 2 juniorbridesmaids. I know i should have told them to back off before it got this bad but now what do i do? Do I put the juniors as juniorbridesmaids or as candlelighters? Can they be both? How does that work? Someone please help me out!

The wedding is going to be a semi-formal evening event, the bridesmaids are wearing chocolate color dresses, tea length, and may have the blue color for a sash. I want the groomsmen to wear sharp looking suits but havent a clue what color. What color should the suit itself, the vest & tie be? Any suggestions would be great!!

Whats the best way to securely attach ribbons to a wedding car? Not hiring a car, using a very nice one owned by a friend, so will have to work out how to attach the ribbons ourselves. Thanks!

My mother doesnt like the fact im with a female and because of this the rest of my family dont like it either. My partners family on the other hand are happy for us. I feel bad that mine dont feel the same. My mother when i told her of our engagement responded with "im not happy for me, now you wont see your dad ever again as you wont go to heaven". She and the rest of my family wont be coming to the wedding but my partners family will be. I have just moved to the uk to be with her so have no friends yet so there will be no one for me to invite. I feel sad about that but im not going to let it ruin our day, our day is about the love we have for each other and if people dont like it. TUFF.
