speak to us now!

My husband and I love our cat dearly as everyone who attended our wedding knows ... so instead of favors we put cards with a picture of our cat on the table saying in lieu of flowers, we have put money aside in your name to build a pet cemetery.

We have already figured out the proper burial we will have for our cat (he's got another 5-10 years to go), but we think other cats deserve the same.

Most guests were in an uproar at the wedding, but I thought it would pass and they would get over it.

I think they may be upset because they have a pretty good idea that we are going to put the money from the wedding towards the creation of a pet cemetery.

But it is our money, and we should be able to do what we want with it, right? I'm really hurt that most people won't even talk to us!

What is your opinon? I think it's quite debatable.

why do people spend tens of thousands of dollars on weddings. i like parties buy damn.
i eloped and i spent 649.00 and it was romantic and fun. and we are sooooooo happy. i bet my husband and i will be together a lot longer than those who spend all the money.

My fiancee and I are getting married next year. Ever since i was a little girl, I have always wanted a RED wedding dress. My mum and all my side of the family are telling me "You wear what ever colour you want". But my fiancee's side is telling me, "You should wear a white dress, because you will look back on your albums, and start regretting it."

Any opinions, or bright ideas to help me get over this dilemma?????

I am 20 going to be 21 in June. We are planning to get married April 2009. I would already be married if it werent for the fact that i promised my parents i would wait until i finished my 4 years of college. My fiance and i have been together for 3 years. Everyone keeps telling that i am way to young tobe thinking of marriage and that it is a mistake. My question is ....what is a good age to get married.

In the US I know that you can take a course on the internet. Is it as simple in BC? I want my brother or step-father to take it so they can preform my marriage ceremony. Thanks.

my bf has been divorced for 4 yrs but his ex is still bitter about him leaving her and takes it out on us mostly me.she consently talks badly about us to his family, she allways trys to get more money from him(he already pays her more than the courts ordered)and harasses him when he does not give in,has a fit if i go to any school function for thier son(made such a fit about one thing the school has asked my bf to keep me away to avoid any other "problems" with her) these are just a few things i could go on forever.i have never done anything to her and my bf except for divorcing her treats her with respect and is a great dad.the problem is my bf allows her to do this.they both have joint custody but he allways allows her to say and do anything she wants to us he says for his sons sake and not to make waves.we fight over this all the time and he has had it.he said if i don't drop it he will leave me for good .so how can i learn to not let her get under my skin when she pulls her crap?

So, I'm kind of confused. Do you use the engagement ring as the wedding ring? Or are they two totally different rings?

Both my parents and my (future) in-laws want to have an after-wedding party (and they both want to invite the other side) after my wedding. I don't want there to be a compitition who has more guests or whatever. And, to be honest, I think my parent's house would be better. Both the families have pools (June wedding) but my parents also have a hot tub, pool table, ping pong, dart board, etc. Also, my future in-laws are planning on spending massive amounts of money "for the wedding" to re-do their house while not giving as much as they told us they would for the actual wedding. How do I politely tell them that my parents would like to have the party, with everyone invited (their WHOLE family too) so they don't "have" to. I know they want to have it anyway.

My boyfriend was asked to be an usher at his friend's wedding and he was absolutely delighted and honoured to say yes. However, we have just found out that all male members of the wedding party are wearing top hat and tails and they have to pay to hire them themselves. This is going to cost at least 75 pounds and we really do not have that kind of money. I don't mind paying a small amount to buy a suit that we can keep and wear again but I can't justify spending that amount on something he will wear for only a few hours.
Is it traditional for the suits to be bought for them? If they want him to wear it then they should buy it. I don't want to upset them but we can't afford that money! Any advice please?

I am planning a reception for 95 people. My wedding has a cinderella theme. I was wondering what type of food would be appropriate to serve at the reception. Should I have a sit down dinner? A cake and punch only? or should I have the meal be a buffet?
Please advise. I finally got mom to quit trying to run the show. We are both working together on it. But we are both at a lose on this one.

I'm looking for a nice reception site (possibly a place that would be nice to hold the wedding at too) in Whittier, CA. Over 100guests, want something with a nice view and working on a budget. If any of you know of a place I'd appreciate it. Or if you have any feedback on places to avoid let me know!
