Depending on your budget you can always choose altar flowers that use large but inexpensive blooms and place them atop of columns. The columns can be accented with tulle to make it a little more decorative. Tulle adds a nice yet inexpensive accent. Also if you are having a unity candle, you can have an arrangement that incorporates your unity candle and tapers if they are being set on a table. If you are using a floor stand, decorate it with tulle and a few accent flowers and greenery. Sometimes you can save costs by using silk flowers, but be aware that sometimes you can your silk flowers can cost you as much as silk flowers.

Candles are cheap. Get some candelabras. Also do two silk flower arrangements You can get these things at a craft store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

My cousin filled their whole church stage w/ tule, it looked really cool almost like dry ice, then she took some pedastals and put candles on them it was very pretty, try a hobby or craft store, they usually have good deals on tule in bulk and also on pedastals and stuff like that

many rental companies will rent pedastools (sp?) You can put potted flower arrangements on them :)
