My fiancee and I have been together for 6 years, engaged for 3 years, and are trying to plan a wedding without breaking the bank, but for us, that's not much. The only reason we haven't gotten married yet is because of $. I want to have a small inexpensive wedding, but his family wants us to have a big one. I've talked with my fiancee about this and he kinda wants a big one too, but we've both agreed that unless his family pays for it, it's not gonna happen. I want my wedding dress and a nice reception, but at the same time, I just want to go to court and get it over and done with. I was trying to plan a 2007 wedding, but it looks like it's not gonna happen. How can I get this ball rolling and make everyone happy?

Is the cinched mid section going to accentuate the stomach area too much? Seeing how the cinched material is up high, will stomach pooch portrude from the bottom?

I came across the idea of using crushed glass instead of sand during my wedding ceremony. I guess it is the same thing as a sand ceremony but just glass. It looks really good but the colors are very limited. Anyone know where I can look? I would like to do white and pale pink... but I am open to others.

Hi. A friend of mine is getting married soon, and I've been helping her look for rings. She does not want a diamond because of all the diamond wars and stuff in Africa. It is my second marriage, the first for my fiance..She is a doll, I am the luckiest man in the world,,,but,,,her stress is about to send me over the edge!! I dreamt that my ex boyfriend whom i am still in love with got engaged to another woman. The dream felt so really. I cried when he told me.... His mother wasn't happy about him getting engaged to her. in the dream he asked me to make sure that i was coming to the wedding and i couldn't give him a answer. i just kept feelin that i was losing him to her. My future sister in law picked out a dress that I did not initially like...but did not think it would be that bad since I was planning on losing weight anyways. Well I finally got into the sample size at the bridal shop...my sil wants to have dresses ordered by 2-11-07. I tried on dress and there is no way it is going to support my chest even if I do lose weight because I will always have a chest. I want to tell her that I do not think it would flatter me and that I am not going to be comfortable in the dress...but it is last minute for her. I have been trying to find similar alternatives with same company so we can keep same color and price...I don't just want to throw it on her ...i want to give her options on what I would be comfortable in since it is last minute. Other bridesmaids are tall and thin...so if they look ok in the current chosen dress...they will look ok in a similar dress. SHould I tell her what I think or should I just order the dress and pray it will support me then?

So my fiance and I have set the date for October and have booked the ceremony and reception venues. Also, our mothers have done everything short of posting it on a billboard to get the news on our weddding date out.


The thing is, the stress and tension between everyone is killing us! All we want is a relaxing enjoyable day. We are still 9 months away and the moms are bickering, my sister is crying, and it is just pure chaos. Everyone wants to be incharge of everything and I could care less! They are already harrasing me about napkin colors....NAPKIN COLORS!!!!


What I really want to do is back out of all of these "traditional" wedding plans and go to the Bahamas and get married. We would invite our immediate families, but under 20 people. Am I overreacting? Would this be rude?

ok so here it goes. Last week I had this dream right and its about one of my best friends getting married to her current boyfriend. (This dream was the same night as her Sweet 16 when her mom says, why cant she get married and have a party all on the same night.) so anyways, after the wedding, we were all at the reception. Our dad's are fire fighters at the BPFD. And thats where the reception was. So her and i were talking. And all of a sudden I say, "wow mel your 9 years older than my dad," (My dad is 45) but she was in a Sixteen year old's body. Then she told me, " Dont be surprised that when you see me next week after our honeymoon that I'll be pregnant." After that I went to sit down on the bar stool and everything and my crush Matt, came up to me and aparently he heard the whole conversation. He asked me what was wrong. I said nothing. Then he said, " what do you want to have a baby too?" He was like almost right on top of me. It was so strange, but then my alarm clock went off.

I am having a really hard time deciding who I want to walk me down the isle. Mom? Dad? -who has never been a big part of my life, or put up a penny for the wedding. Younger brother? Grandpaw? So I was thinking that I could just walk by myself and have my mother, father and step-father stand and say "we do" when asked who gives away the bride. Has anyone done or seen this done before??
