Weddings - January 2007

My boyfriend and I moved in together he bought a house under his name since my credit is bad. I pay for half of all the expenses. During a conversation last week he mentioned that if something happend to him, the house goes to his kids. He said he would put something in writing for them to allow me to stay there until my kids are all grown. Does this seem fair or am I wrong? If anything since I pay half of the bills I should be entitled to half of the house?

One of my dearest friends from college is getting married. I plan on attending the wedding with my new boyfriend. My problem is my ex (who is also a friend of my girlfriend) may be coming to the wedding as well, and things ended badly. I told him I'd never get in touch with him again. If he's there, what do I do?
Do I just ignore him? Or do I be polite and congratulate him on his new girlfriend and the fact he just graduated from college?
I would hate to ruin my friend's wedding. It is her day, and I want to avoid a scene at all costs.

I was told not to include the wedding registry in the invitations. Is this true? Also, do you include hotel information and directions in with the invitation? Please help as I am beginning to design and start on the invites. Thanks!

we're getting married next year, my mother is on a pension and my father passed 10 years ago, but she still wants to give us a grand towards the big day, the thing is how do we ask if his parents want to contribute something towards it. we are quite happy to pay for it ourselves although it will be tight, and i know that if it was my partners sister getting married they'd be too happy to throw money her way. whats the best way to ask his parents, they have split up but they are not skint. should i just let it lie and go ahead budgeting without them, i feel they always push my partner out like he's the black sheep of the family

We are getting married in the summer outside (unless it rains then in a living room), and I was wondering what people's opinions are on wearing blushers? I'm iffy about them, I think they look nice but maybe too formal for an outdoor wedding.

I am going to a family wedding soon (the couple are in early 40's) and they have asked for money towards their honeymoon. My boyfriend and I have been talking about getting married because he might be getting stationed in Germany. We are very in love and neather or us can deal with not being with eachother. So when we were in Indiana at Christmas with his family he said" we will go to the court house if I get the job because I wont go without you." But now it looks like he is going to be getting the job and it stresses me out and scares me cause he will be gone for 2 years. When he told me I stayed strong and I was kidding and I said you cant go without me and he said well you cant go. So I dont know if he is just saying that or if he is going to propose and hes just trying to throw me off. Please help. Let me know what you guys think! Thank you

I dont know him but he's out there. I am not really sure what a marrige/wedding feels like. Do we both feel true at the same time? This is going to sound weird but...
when you get married your parents call your spouse "son in law" or "daughter in law" and your siblings call them "brother in law" or "sister in law". Does that sound a little weird if you really think about it? It sounds like you married someone whom has become your "brother" or "sister". Could someone explain to me why this is the relationship you inherit when you get married?
