We are getting married in the summer outside (unless it rains then in a living room), and I was wondering what people's opinions are on wearing blushers? I'm iffy about them, I think they look nice but maybe too formal for an outdoor wedding.

Thanks!

Thanks to those who have answered already, but I meant the front veil... Don't worry, I didn't know it was called a blusher either until I went to David's Bridal.

since each one of us is a unique person, that means that at each one of us fit different things. before answering this question i´d suggest u give it a try by yourself. put the dress and the veil, get maked up as well, and look your self at the mirror. what do u say?

then do exactly the same thing without the veil. what do u say now?

if u like it, then everyone else will. no matter what they tell u, u r the master.

Yes, you can wear the blusher outdoors if you wish. My friend had a july wedding outdoors, and she wore her blusher. I think it is beautiful. I personally the love the blusher it is so traditional and romantic. I am wearing a waterfall veil with the blusher. Well Congratutlations and good luck!! No matter what you decide you will be beautiful!! :)

Personally, I think they're a bit old-fashioned. I had a large wedding in a church with a big, ballroom dress and I didn't have one. I think that it also might be a little too formal for outdoor, but nowadays there really aren't any hard and fast rules about what the bride wears. If you're indifferent, then don't do it and save some money. Good luck!

I would say it is nice. Then someone gets to lift the veil...the groom does that right? I did not wear a veil because we got married in Vegas and had a simple wedding just the two of us.

I am getting married in mya and I got my vail and a headpiece from Davids Bridal. I didn't want the whole blusher I thought it was to much, plus my headpiece converts into a necklace.

I knew what you meant by a blusher, and I totally can't stand them, but then my veil drives me totally nuts anyway, I definetly think for and outdoor ceremony skip it, but do what you feel is best for you, just cuz I don't like them for me doesn't mean you should completely rule it out!

I say wear what you want. It's your big, special day and if you want to wear a Mardi Gras mask (or in your case, a veil) go for it! If it makes you feel beautiful and will help in your photos to remember the day as extra special, wear it!

It depends on the dress and how it looks on you! I went with no blusher because it didn't look right with my face shape or my dress.

I personally cannot stand the thought of wearing one. I felt like it was overkill & just felt weird wearing one over my face. Everyone in Davids Bridal tried to talk me into one, but I was firm that no, I didn't want to wear one. :) It's totally up to you, I think it's fine for others, but I just felt dumb with one on.
