I need to decide on what color I want my flowers and bride maids dresses and cake decor and etc.
BUt I don't know how...each time i like a different one...
How did you decide or do you know a way i can decide?

From your past experience how long did it take to organise everything and get it together?

My OH and I are getting engaged within the next few months but I want to know when a realistic date is to set the wedding.

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with a "momzilla" for their wedding? My mom keeps getting mad at me for every little thing during my wedding planning stage. She's expressed no interest in helping me but keeps telling others she feels like she's not involved. My parents are also divorced and DO NOT get along which I am worried about as we get closer to the wedding. Any tips, advice?? Thanks!

I picked my cousin to be my maid of honor because she was the person I had known the longest. She is horrible! She won't do anything to help me and when I call to talk to her about the wedding she won't answer and won't return my calls. A bridesmaid offered to help do the shower without her but Im worried...How should I handle this??

I was wondering if anyone knew if there are wedding video editors out there who can edit a video (DVD) that has already been completed. I got my wedding video back the other day and I hate it. I paid SOO much money and got crap :(
It's way too long (3 hrs +) and it lacks special effects. If anyone knows of a place where they can do that in Ontario, Canada that would be great. Only serious answers please.

I am not the type that wants to be the center of attention. So the thought of going to a bar and having to take shots in front of a large group of people is not my idea of a good time. Plus I have 2 girls in my wedding that are pregnant, which I could have us all go eat and then go our seperate ways. I need suggestions of some fun things we can do. Please help!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 3 years. We are really into each other, we like being together and spending time together (we haven't had sex), his family loves me and I love them, my family likes him and he like them, just my family is a little over protective of me, they go by the rules and want me to finish school and then get married, I say that’s not a bad idea but the problem is that I will finish school when I’m like 26 and him when he's like 28 we thinks that’s to far away because then we have to wait till he’s done with school to start thinking about marriage, so if we get married at that age, we will have to have kids like almost soon because we want kids but we want to be married for like at least 4 yrs then think about kids, we have done a lot of thinking we know its not just we get a ring and there. We know there’s a lot of responsibility like buying a house, paying rent, buying stuff to survive, pay for school. So when should we get married?

Im thinking about doing those colors / one of the two but havent choose which one yet, my sister said aqua and silver, and my best friend says aqua and brown, the wedding is Sept '07 and the girls dresses either way would be aqua I guess... anyone know of ideas for the wedding reception for center pieces with these colors or flowers, any ideas would help!! My husband and I have been happily married now for 9 months! We do have our differences though. I would like to just keep my wedding dress just to have it. However, He is not a big fan of clutter. He would like for me to do something with the dress instead of just putting it into a box. So what can I do with my dress? I do not want to sell it I would like to keep it in one form or another.

Im getting married in August. We had planned for a big wedding. But the closer it gets the more I want a little private ceremony with few friends and family, with a big reception afterwards. How can we word the invites so people know its just for the reception. And will people be offended if we dont invite them to the wedding?

Does anyone know which airlines allow you to bring your wedding dress on board with you? I don't want to have it shipped in the regular baggage and I heard that some airlines allow you take it on board with you. If I can't get an answer, I am thinking about Fed Ex my dress.

Since Nov my bf has been making hints that we’ll be getting engaged soon. He even made it seem like it could happen for the holidays, it didn't. He would hum the wedding song,& talk about the people we'd invite. He even talked about where and when we'd get married.
In Jan I told him that it isn't fair that he's talking about it so much if he doesn't intend to propose soon. He said that I should be patient, that money is tight but we will get engaged. He said that I would have no idea when he was going to propose, that he wants it to be a total surprise. He said for starters he would never let me know when he got the ring (my friends bf told her he bought the ring). He said I know how important the proposal is to you, so how do you know if I might be taking the time to plan it out right. and that might be the hold up. After that conversation, I was left not knowing what to think anymore.
Now it’s about a month later & he hasn’t even talked about getting engaged. No teasing, nothing

We are on a very tight budget and I do not want the typical fall wedding themes (leaves and such). Trying to go for a very simple but elegant decor within my budget means. hey, ive been with my boyfreind for a year now and he's now asked me to get marrried to him.i would love to get married to him but im scared to be committed, firstly i want to finish of my education ive just go 3 years to go now at university, i dont want any disturbances in between my education,dont get me wrong i love to bits but i have to complete my education, he has no problems with me studying after we get married but i believe its going to cause conflict and unnecessary confrontations if we do get married and i decide to carry on with my education.i dont know what to do im so lost..i am going to talk to him by the end of this week when i see him yet i dont know how to convince him..im really genuinely confused and really do need help.

If I get married in January but want to hold off the honeymoon until April, is that considered unacceptable? For many honeymoon locales there is a ridiculous price difference between peak (Dec - mid April) and off-peak (mid April - Nov) dates.

If it's not ok would you recommend moving the wedding to April, or just sucking it up and paying the extra couple thousand $$ for peak times, or going on a mini honeymoon after the wedding and the big one in April. Thanks!
