To the left, to the left......

It is the left side. That's where the bride stands at the alter, groom on the right. Usually the brides family sits on the left as well and groom's on the right. My mother complained about being on the same side as my brother and only seeing his back when he gave his vows, so in my wedding sure I'll stand up on the left side but the family will be on the right seats so they can see my face. I think that's an interesting take that I'd never thought about till mom stated that. I think whatever side you want to stand on is fine, weddings are an anything goes event now a days!

Generally the left, as that is which side the bride stands on during the wedding. If it occurs that one side will have a great deal more guests than the other (it happened at my first wedding...the groom had a total of four guests while my side was filled), then you may want to leave it up to the disgression of the ushers to even it out for you, of course seating the pimary people (parents, grandparents, sibs, immediate family, etc.) in the first few rows, and then seating the friends on either side to even it out.

Bride on the left, groom on the right. If one is inviting more guests than the other, then its up to the ushers to even it out.

The same side the wife stands on during the ceremony. The best way to determine is to wait until the bride marches up the asle to see which side she stands on and then have everyone shuffle back and forth and change sides immediately if necessary.

Usually the left side as you're going down the aisle, facing the front of the church.

at my brother's wedding, the bride's guests were seated on the left as you walked through the door.

ataditionally, the left side. I have been to weddings where guests were seated at random just to keep both sides even. Do as you please.

Left side. that's the way it's been at every wedding I've been to, and that's the way it was at my own wedding.
Congratulations!
