i am 10 weeks pregnant not planned, i have been with my patner nearly 3 years, i asked him last christmas to marry me. he said yes but not to soon, every time i even talk about getting married he changes the subject, i have tryed to talk to him but he does not say much he is not the talkin type... he has been married before to a total *****. so maybe thats why he dont want to get married yet... he is just happy plodding along as we are. what do i do? i wanted to be marryed before we have this baby but its not looking likely why?

My fiance has a 7 month old son whom I'm crazy about (They did not know she was pregnant with they seperated). He and his ex-wife and I finally get along and I get to see him usually once a week and my fiance sees him a few times a week. His ex and i talk over myspace a few times a week and we're always exchanging pictures we've taken of baby and daddy together so the whole relationship is good. There won't be any family or friends at our wedding, since we're getting married 300 miles from home and nobody can travel that far. Should I include a children's vow? I just recently heard about them and was wanting some good suggestions on wording...our regualar vows and ring vows we've already picked out and the wording is more young and contemporary, not traditional. Any ideas?

I'm having a very small wedding with just my fiance and me there. No bridesmaids or groomsmen...what would be something cute to hold the rings before we exchange them, since we won't have a ring bearer pillow or anything, instead of letting the officiant hold them or putting them in the groom's pocket..our photographer's portfolio shows that he takes "anticipation" pictures(still images of items before the wedding like the dress and shoes before the bride puts them on) of the rings on the pillows and I want something creative and cute for the picture....I don't know HELP!

For the ceremony? Can you just not have them when you get married and maybe get them later. Or are they required?

I have decided to place chair covers on the chairs at the head table. My question is wether place them on all of the chairs or only the head table. I am looking to save money in the long run, but it is worth the elegance? The chairs at the baquet hall are a white plastic and look decent as is. I just like the look of the covers, but to pay for 300 covers seems like a lot of money. What do you think covers or no?

I know this is WAY wrong, but I think I love him. Every day after school I find an excuse to stay after. He treats me less like a student and more like a friend. Once he took me to coffee. I've never met his fiance and to tell you the truth, I don't want to. He recently invited me to his wedding. I don't WANT to go, it would be too painful, but I want to object. He loves ME, not that other disgusting creature wearing the size 15 wedding dress (I'm guessing!)! Help me. We love each other, and our love is PURE. He doesn't know it yet, but he wants to marry me. Maybe we can have 12 children and live in a mansion by the sea. I know I'm young, but I'm NOT naive. I know this is right. I can feel it. The question is, how to break it to the fiance. And I need to start shopping for wedding dresses, because the wedding is next week. P.S. my teacher doesn't know anything about my desires, he probably thinks that our love will never be. My parents are aware of this and approve.

I realize that a wedding shower is a couple's chance to get some nice things that they may otherwise not be able to buy, BUT I think some girls are kind of out of control. A recent bride-to-be asked for what I think is outrageously priced china. A soup bowl cost $85, the sugar bowl was $135, and the gravy boat was $260!

My sister met a man from France. My sister is not particularly religeous ( although she was raised jewish), her fiancee is catholic and his parents want them to have a catholic wedding. They would like to have a wedding in Venice. Can my sister get married in a catholic ceremony, even though she is not a catholic herself? What does she need to do so she can get married in the church?

Is it natural for men to love their wives more now that they are married than when they were dating. Especially, if he didn't treat her like a wife when they were engaged and living together?

I love my friend Jessica so much and I want her to have a nice engagement ring but at the same time I wanted to one day be able to give my ring to my son when he grows up so he can give it to his bride to be. My husband says that since I have a wedding band now I don't need an engagement ring and that I would be selfish not to give it to him. He said he is not going to take it from me but he will be very disappointed in me if I don't give him the ring. I asked him if he could buy her a new one instead and he said that the Thanksgiving holidays are here and he will be spending a lot because relatives are here so he needs to save some money. I know I shouldn't be selfish and I really guess I should give my ring to my husband but would it be wrong of me to ask her for it back after the wedding? I mean I'm not trying to be selfish, I just would want it for my son for the future. Is this bad?

Worried that occasionally my fiance calls me by another name. Its happened twice in several years where he called me by one of his friends wives names. He says its a slip of the tongue because they both start with the same letter but its hurts alot because it makes me believe I'm not first on his mind. Anyone have the same problem, and is it possible that I'm making a big deal out of it
