You should try an iMemoryBook. I was trying to decide what to give my roommate for his wedding present. After learning about iMemoryBook I came up with a great idea. I convinced Derek and Wendy to write "He said...She said" stories about the way they met and the way they got engaged. Then using iMemoryBook's invitation system I sent invitations to all of his family and friends, in Utah, and all of her family and friends, in California. Then I watched the book grow online. I was amazed at how smoothly this book grew with the iMemoryBook system. Over 70 people got online, viewed and contributed to the book. The final book had over 200 photos, 75 entries(memories), and 100+ pages, iMemoryBook has helped me create something I wouldn't have even imagined possible.

The double sided photo frame is good but i would put a recent pic of you together-something taken now wouldbe great then i would use their engagement photo.

Engraved gifts are good and thingsremembered.com is the best. They have a cross that i am buying and having engraved with
"May your love for each other always be as unconditional as God's love for all of his children."

I bought my own sister a wooden floating cross which i havent been able to find since I won it at a public tv auction.

Other items include a tribute to her new life: A CD of songs from her wedding day (if you know them), a cd of songs from their relationship, a scrapbook of their engagement period or dating period,

Get her a scrapbook and fill it with momentos from your childhood together, and be sure to add to it throughout the year. A fun way to do that, is to set aside at least one day as "sister day" and be sure to take pictures to mark the ocassion! For example-there's mother's day, father's day, wedding anniversary, etc-make a sister event where you two can exchange gifts or even just spend time together-go to a spa, go shopping, get mani-pedi's, etc etc. Hopefully, you will see each other more often that once a year, but at least this will be a nice way to keep in touch. Otherwise, i recommend a photo frame with 2 openings, one from her wedding day, and one with the 2 of you as children.

Most people get registered so that there are no duplications in gifts. Give her a nice set of dishes that can be used for many years and will always be part of the family experience which may evoke her fond feelings of you every time she uses them.

Buy her everlasting tapestries.
Kings and queens used these in their castles for centuries
