I'm having a very small wedding with just my fiance and me there. No bridesmaids or groomsmen...what would be something cute to hold the rings before we exchange them, since we won't have a ring bearer pillow or anything, instead of letting the officiant hold them or putting them in the groom's pocket..our photographer's portfolio shows that he takes "anticipation" pictures(still images of items before the wedding like the dress and shoes before the bride puts them on) of the rings on the pillows and I want something creative and cute for the picture....I don't know HELP!

The pet's thing would be good if we weren't getting married 300 miles from home, plus our favorite cat Boots just died 3 days ago leaving his sister Puss by herself...and our photographers will be our witnesses and obviously they'll be too busy to give us our rings...just want a cute idea for the pictures! Thanks for all your answers!

Ok. I see two questions so Ill treat it that way.... For the picture... go to www.allinonephotography.com and look at the picture of the engagement ring on the bluebonnet. It will come thru during on the opening page during the portfolio.

What you need to do is look for what interests you. She loved the bluebonnets so it was only natural to place the ring on the bluebonnet to do the photo. Her photo is actualy a BnW/ Color photo. The image is in black and white with only the ring having any color. Not everyone likes that look so I used just the color image on my site.

Feel free to email or msg me and I will help you come up with a good photo for the rings. It will have to be something IN YOU that makes it special tho. I understand asking for ideas, but those ideas are not in you so they will only be ideas.

Something cute to hold the rings before you exchange them.

I do not know how or where the exchange will take place. What setting example. Two of my favorites.. (the first is what I did)

I was handed a balloon, blew it up, took a pin from my pocket, popped the baloon, two roses were intertwind with our rings in the stems. I have also seen this done where the bride and goom cut into an orange or lemon and extract the ring.

The unity candles were used in this wedding. The mothers lit the candles and set them on the stands. The bride and groom lit the unity candle then walked back still holding the candles. The candles were about 15 inches long (a bit less after burning) the officiant (who had no idea what was about to happen by the way) then asked the groom what token he had for the bride as a symbol of his love and commitment. He held the candle up and caused it to vanish leaving him simply holding the wedding ring. I thought the officiant was going to pass out. He wasnt nearly as suprised as when the bride did the same thing.

Both of these were for people who wanted to do something different and were also playing a bit to the audience.

So where will your wedding be held? Are you wanting something cute for you to see, or for those watching (guessing not as your photographers are the witnesses)

I would reccommend simply having your florist place the rings into the flowers, his butinere and your bouquet. There is something a big dramitic and romantic about reaching INTO a rose and pulling out a ring.

I think the box idea is cute. I found a sivler plated heart shaped box that can be engraved. Check out the website

orhttp://www.exclusivelyweddings.com/Silverplated_Velvet_Lined_Jewelry_Box_4.html~idProduct~585~idCategory~60~seq~9~totRecs~11
These are both options. The photographer could take a photo of the rings on the box with the lid off to the side like in the picture for the heart shaped box. Congrats and I hope you find something that you will like!

Do you have a family bible or other family heirloom? You could put the rings on something like that or a pillow and place them in front of the unity candle. Near by for both of you to reach and yet not in someones pocket. I think I would make a nice anticipation picture too. Your candle lit, his candle lit, the unlit unity candle in the middle and the rings on whatever important artifact in front of the candle?!

Good Luck

this is why we've answering machines or voice mail. It takes somewhat doing yet you could conquer the urge to bounce up and answer the telephone once you're doing something else. of direction you could desire to consistently carry your cellular into the washing room with you. Be happy your telephone has a well mannered British ring... our telephones right here in the US sound like a fireplace alarm going off!

Well, you have to have at least two witnesses. At my sister's wedding she had the person doing the ceremony hand the rings to them.

Set the rings on a table in front of a candle.

Attach them to your bouquet!

Have your florist secure them with ribbons in a way that keeps them mixed in with the flowers so that they can be simply untied at the right moment. Best wishes!

when me and my husband got married just almost 6 months ago, it was just me and my husband there, and we just put the rings in our pockets. Then when we have to exchange the rings then we just take it out of our pockets.

how about a heartshaped crystal jewelry box,
just the right size for the rings,
& real gold dust sprinkled in the box,
all with of course the right background
