I have decided to place chair covers on the chairs at the head table. My question is wether place them on all of the chairs or only the head table. I am looking to save money in the long run, but it is worth the elegance? The chairs at the baquet hall are a white plastic and look decent as is. I just like the look of the covers, but to pay for 300 covers seems like a lot of money. What do you think covers or no?

I would rather soend alittle more and get elegent table cloths. I ordered online satin linens in a taupe color and they looked really really nice and with just them you don't need chair covers. Email me if you have questions

Is this for ceremony chairs or dining chairs at the reception? Every year an organization I'm involved in puts on a very elegant dinner for people being initiated to our group. We set a table with big white tablecloths and then have dozens of white pillowcases for the chair backs. It's white cotton, not satin or anything but under the glowy lights it all looks really amazing. Trust me -- the room looks spectacular and white and no one even notices the seats really. If it's for ceremony chairs obviously you can't do that. I would do some more searching. I was finding the sashes for $1.00 or so, but that's without the covers. Maybe buy a bolt of white fabric and a bolt of tulle ribbon and cut your own?

Definitley not necessary if you are trying to save money. If you want something on the chairs go with some pretty bows. Cheap and disposable! Yes, to me $300 sounds like alot to rent some covers for chairs. Now if you were to say that the chairs looked bad, old or something then my opinion might be different, but you said they look decent. So go without and save the money!

I think it's a personal preference. Maybe instead of buying chair cover s for all those chairs, I've seen some really pretty bows tied around the back of chairs which would be a less expensive alternative.

Chair covers make a world of difference for a room. I used to work for a banquet hall, and plan weddings.

If you're trying to save money, then no its not. Perhaps your venue provides bamboo chairs which are very in. Your linen company may be able to hook you up a deal with chair covers.

Just make sure you get your headcount in advance

I wouldn't get them, I didn't use them, and mine turned out just as pretty. Also, if you are renting them and someone spills something on them, you have to pay, or if you buy it, what are you going to do with them afterwards? No one really cares about that, if you go to a beautiful wedding you're not going to say, "It would have been so pretty, but they didn't have chair covers, ". lol, Goodluck

no way. we had them and they kept slipping off! especially if youll have people running back and forth to the dance floor from the table...they will be tripping on them, they'll be sliding off...it's a mess. please don't do it!!!
