My fiance and I live in California and we would like our friend to marry us. Is this legal if he gets ordained online? If so, what is a legitimate website?

Hi, I have a problem with my boyfriend to ask you all about. Recently he asked me what kind of engagement ring I wanted, (we've been dating for several years now). Well, I've always wanted a ruby engagement ring. I love victorian novels and am in love with the romance and wonderful sentiment behind a ruby for an engagement ring. It was considered a true stone of passion! I have wanted a ruby since I was a little gril.
Well I mentioned this during our engagement conversation, and he got angry with me saying that was "so ghetto" and that only a diamond was appropriate for and engagement ring. I told him I thought a ruby was a unique sentiment, to which he asked why I was always so "low class" and stalked away disgusted at me.

Do you think a ruby would make a fitting engagement ring, or was I out of line?

Thanks for your help!!

My fiance & I had alot of problems last year. He was going back & forth. Because he wasn't sure if he wanted to marry me. It was partly my fault. I come from a strickt culture where I couldn't hold his hands, kiss or show simple affection. He was frustrated with me. I also had bad habbits like buying things out of impulse & getting up late. Early this year I fell in love with him & completly changed my behavior, started showing him affection & now I tell him all the time how much I love him. He is a sweet & caring guy. He helps my mother & I alot in many ways. I made a mistake by discussing my problems with my sis when my fiance & I didn't get along. She only met him 3 times when we went to visit her out of state. Now she cannot stand him. She called my best friend & said she is oposed to this wedding. But she is the maid of honor because when I picked my friend to be maid of honor she got upset. Now my friend wants to tell me why my sis is against my marriage. I am scared & sad.

I had both an engagement ring and wedding band made at the same time for my future fiancee. I am now wondering if when I propose, I should propose with both rings (and not let her wear the wedding band until the ceremony) or if I should propose with just the engagement ring and show her the wedding band later when she decides she wants to go looking at them.

The average wedding costs $25,000US. More, if like many you borrow money to pay for it. That's a new car bought and paid for!

If your in a solid commited relationship, why marry and who do you think benefits from marrying?

I have worked with her for two years now, and although we did not become friends straight away, our relationship grew and I was under the impression that we had become pretty good friends. That was until I found out that six other workmates (out of 15 in the whole office) where invited to her wedding, but not me. I know that the boss is also pretty pissed because she wasn't invited either. I guess I know where I stand with her now, but how am I supposed to go on working with her?

Wedding etiquette:Should I go to Bro's overseas Wedding?
My bro met girl who lives in Austraila on the net.
Has been chatting online with her for 5 years
He flew to AUS and spent 3 MO. with her
Now they are engaged.
WOW!! That was fast!
Now my family expects me to fly over in July to see him get married. I find this to be a VERY $$$ request.
($2,000-3,000)
I think it is a better idea if they have 2 Ceremonies.
The big one over in AUS and then a very small one here.
I think it is cheaper for her to fly over here than expect my entire famly to fly to AUS.
More facts:
1.He could not financilly do the same for me.
2.Yes they are going to live in AUS after the Wedding
3.Bro is back in US now. She could fly here to meet him in July and have a small Ceremony and a Cake and Ice cream/potluck reception. Then both fly to AUS. Have big wed. in AUS and broadcast it on the internet where they met in the first place.
Thoughts?? What do you think?

My fiance and I are getting married next September. We're young and don't have a lot of money but we still want a great wedding. Are there any ideas on ways to save money? If we go with the place we want, we'll need a DJ, videographer, and florist (or a place that sells flowers and I can have friends put them together). Do you know any companies in Sacramento, ca. Any help would be appreciated!
