My fiance and I are getting married next September. We're young and don't have a lot of money but we still want a great wedding. Are there any ideas on ways to save money? If we go with the place we want, we'll need a DJ, videographer, and florist (or a place that sells flowers and I can have friends put them together). Do you know any companies in Sacramento, ca. Any help would be appreciated!

My parents and his parents are only paying for some of it so most of it is on us. Also, what about decently priced honeymoon trips?

there are many ways to still have a great day without the occassion costing heaps of money.
keep it SIMPLE; only 1 attendant each for a start - MUCH easier to select outfits ; only 1 attendant gift to buy
make you invitations yourself - there are computer programs that can help & you should be able to purchase some nice paper
for your gown - look at other outfits apart from just ***wedding gowns** as their at hundreds of different outifts that can still look FANTASTIC without the cost associated with wedding attire.
after all your gown is your wedding dress as that is what you have chosen to be married in.
have a morning ceremony with cake & champagne afterwards rather than a traditional reception - or early afternoon followed by a cocktail party
GOOD IDEA to buy just the flowers & have friends do the bouquets
you dont have to have all the 'favours & table decortaions"
family & friends may be prepared to pay for the cake /flowers/music as their gift to you ( something that is a set cost)
when my daughter got married she asked guests to pay for their own meal at a restaraunt rather than give them gifts; they had the ceremony on a beach so NO costs involved there; a park is also a nice idea
they also handed out disposable cameras to guests & asked them to take photos - got some great shots - had her father stay back to take some photos of bride & groom on the beach

SET A BUDGET NOW & keep to it

keep the number of guests just to those people who are significant in your lives now

Why dont you just go and get a small personal loan and then use that money to have the wedding of your dreams.
Instead of the wedding guests bringing gifts to your wedding, have a wishing well instead. They can put money in a card and have that as a gift. If you search the net you might find a nice little poem to put in with their invitations that basically tells them you dont want their gifts, you just want their money!!!

After the wedding, you will have received alot of money as gifts from your guests. Use this money to pay off your loan.

This way, you have the wedding of your dreams, nothing is compromised, and the guests have paid for your special day!

I would recommed visiting online website such as weddinglenox.com, weddingsolutions.com, and wedj. Unlike most yellow pages, they have price comparison for the vendors (DJ,videographer, florist, and photographer) you can choose.

One problem I had with my wedding is that it is hard to locate vendors in most website as most likely they group by states and there are too many of them that's too far from me and I have to look at each site to figure out.

The sites I provide above have a easy to use layout to show you pictures, pricing and location in one page plus, you can send out your inquiry for matching vendor to contact you. That save me lots of time to locate the best vendors with the right price.

I'd suggest some kinds of dry arrangement's. With lots and lots of candles. Put a few sticks in a nice pot, you can even spray them in the color of your wedding. Put some nice bows around the wine glasses and presto a perfect wedding arrangement.

You can plan your wedding in some strange places, besides big hotels. Why dont yo go to a orphans home and you set up a wedding dinner for your relatives and that place will be cheap besides you are making the orphans being respected and care, wherby you will get full blessing from them.
