Boyfriend is ordering me an engagment ring tomorrow and needs my ring size - I don't even know what finger you are meant to wear it on, or even which hand!

ha ha to the person who thinks I'm too young to be engaged if I don't know the answer.
I've just never paid attention because I've never been interested until now. I'm 32, so, not so young huh?!

your engagement ring goes on your ring finger on your left hand, so the finger next to your pinky. then when you get married, the wedding band goes with the engagement ring, and when you've been together for a year, the anniversary ring goes with both. usually it's a set, but it doesn't have to be.

You'll be hard pressed to find many people that would agree with you. Traditionally they are both worn on the left hand ring finger. Engagement is shown by a decorative gemmed band, married is a solid band.

Wait…so, I am interested in which finger specifically during the engagement period….like when i propose which finger does it go on? Clearly after the wedding we all agree its on the left hand.

It goes on your ring hand when you are engaged and on the left hand when you get married.

It depends on your culture or what others in your family have done...some left hand, some right, some have engagement on the right and when married the wedding band goes on the left and the engagement moves over to the left....follow your culture

If you look at your left hand then you see the pinky fnger then the RING FINGER then the middle finger so it on the RING FINGER when you get it or he can put it on.
