What flowers will you have? Generally we think 'dark' colors for Winter weddings and 'light' colors for Summer weddings but these days anything goes.
My nephew was married this past weekend and his bride chose plum and copper. They had an outdoor wedding (which you probably can't do in December) and instead of flowers, they bought cheap tiki torches and spray painted them white. The bride's mother and my sister attached cedar boughs (cut from my sister's back yard and NOT associated with Christmas like pine or fir) with wire and then placed a plum bow on each. The final touch was a copper painted pine cone wired into the center of the bow. These tiki torches lined the pathway down to the archway where the bride and groom were married. It was beautiful, tastefully done, and quite inexpensive, so the point is to use your imagination and do what feels right. This is YOUR day, so anything your intended approves will be just right.

What's your favorite color? I would pick something that doesn't offend the eye--nothing too bright or too drab. Go with an earth tone. Those always look pretty. Or try a jade green or dark blue. Silver or gold can be good compliments to these colors. Just look around and see what colors you find attractive. It's your wedding, you pick the colors! That's the fun part!

You can go with any winter colors. Navy, Brown(w/ a lighter color trim like light blue or pink), Hunter green(a little Christmas but not too much), a deep wine/burgandy color, and I've seen some beutiful weddings using simiple black. And for flowers I recomend a deep deep red rose.

I have seen several winter weddings and my favorite was all silver, white, and gold. Also it's very "in" to use different textures and colors of metals...platinum, gold, copper, and stainless. Also, the snowflake theme with ice blue, silver, and white would look good. Try finding accessories that are iridescent (shimmery white that change to pale pink, purple, and blue).

I have been to many weddings being a sibling of 10 with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that have been married.
The most elegant and tasteful wedding I've been to regarding the bridesmaids gowns and ushers was a black and white wedding.....the dresses were very beautiful and did not upstage the bride because they had black and white in them.
The pictures looked just beautiful! Good luck!

Hey that is 15 days from now....If you are going to wear the traditional white----Go with dark blues& tuxes for the men.You didn't put down the time of the wedding, but their color should compliment your dress and flowers. If it is a hurried wedding these colors are easy to get year round. You can go with all white flowers with dark blue filler.Remember the focus is You and the flowers....Hurry, I hope I helped...CONGRATULATIONs.

I had the same problem. So I didn't pick one. I had all 4 girls wear a different pastel color. Same dress but a different color. Pastel green, blue, yellow, & pink. The men's tuxedos had a contrasting flower and hankie. It was so pretty.
