At a bar. We would go to the same club regularly and he was friends with a friend of a friend. We would hang out the bar almsot every weekend for about 6 months. It wasn't planned though. We just liked the same scene. He was dating other girls at the time, but had his eye on me and I was interested in something strictly casual, but never tried with him because he was cool and I thought we'd be 'just friends'.

Well, one night he called me because he broke up with his girlfriend and wanted to come over and eat mushrooms. I had nothing else to do and thought he was cool, so I let him come over and we had a good time. Nothing happened that night, but about a week later I got extrodinarly wasted and we hooked up. It started out as a casual thing scratch that as a very casual thing and I had little intentions of it being serious, but we ended up falling in love and I settled down a little bit.

This was after he moved in because his 'rents kicked him out of their place and he was staying in his car. We were already sleeping together, so I said he could stay at my place for a few days and that few days turned to months and that casual time with a guy who was actually worthy of my friendship unlike my other casual boys turned into a serious relationship. We've been together for almost two years and plan on getting married in 2008.

What makes us stay together? Well, our geniune love for eachother and partially our own narcissisms. We love ourselves and I'm his female counterpart and he's the male version of myself. Our similar interests and goals and problem solving techniques help as well as compatible senses of humour.

The story I tell my parents and family? We met through friends of friends at church.

I met my boyfriend two years ago in a computer class that we both hated. He is really quiet and reserved and I am outgoing and will talk to anyone. We just have so much fun and have honestly never fought. It isn't like we haven't had problems, but we just don't argue. We have been together a little over 2 years and just have the best relationship. We try and do new things and just still learn more abiut eachother everyday. Right now he is going to school an hour and a half away so we don't see eachother like we used to, but everytime we do, it is amazing! We make sure and talk every night and tell eachother we love eachother. Next year I am moving up there and we are so excited!
Congratulations on your child and good luck with the marriage!

My fiance' and I were set up on a blind date by my sister and his dad. We went out on our first date that lasted about 4 hours.....yea it was love at first sight. Then one thing let to another and a month and a half later we got engaged. We are getting married in June 07.

Neither one of us ever really dated anyone. We were each others first real relationship. He makes me so happy. We laugh about all the same things. We can tell when the other is feeling something (whether it be good or bad). We complete each other. We are attached at the hip is what most people say.

If it were not for God, we would never have met and our relationship would not have lasted.

My self confidence was at an all time low my marriage had finally but very suddenly come to an end and i had 2 demanding kids to take care of my own. I moved 150 miles away and joined an Internet dating agency. I had no real hope or expectation and certainly didn't think i would ever find a potential husband that way.

I was proved very wrong. within a week of signing up i received a message for a guy who it turned out lived in same small town as me. Out of curiosity i replied and the rest as they say is history.

We got married on 4Th Nov this year. he is a wonderful husband and a great step father to my kids

I met my husband at church. He was there from another city, visiting his brother, who was our priest. My dad was the deacon, and my mom frequently had the priest for lunch after the liturgy, so she invited the brother too. After lunch, she "dared" me to ask the guy out, so I did, and we went to a movie that evening. He went back to the city he was living, and I went on seeing the guy I was at the time. Not long after he moved to our city, and I saw him once in a while. He knew I was dating this other guy, went to see him, and asked if he was serious with me or not.
So we dated two years, and have been married over 17, one child.
What makes us stay together is common values - both of same religion and similar cultural heritage. We are two very different people and personalities, so that makes it interesting sometimes!

My husband and I met 20 years ago in a laudramat! We were doing our clothes at the same time, and I left a note on his car and told him if he didn't mind me being in the throes of a divorce, would he please call me. He apparently didn't mind, called, and we were great friends for 19 years. I had a daughter by my marriage, I then had another daughter with another man, and through it all this man stayed my friend and helped me with shoes and coats and school supplies and food and power bills if I needed it. When my mother became ill and my kids and me moved in to take care of her, he moved in with us to help out because he knew I couldn't do it forever on my own. I finally realized that THIS was the love I had wanted all my life... the day in and day out kind of love... and last October I married him! We just celebrated our first anniversary, and are looking forward to building a quiet, secure life together!!

My boyfriend an I lived on the same street, but never talked to each other. Then one night I was with my friends trying to get into a club, he was also standing in line with his friends. Then the security guard let them in, so they started walking and I went behind them as if I was with them, but I was left in alone because the guard shut the door behind me leaving my friends out. So I grabbed him by the shoulder and asked him to stay with me till my friends get in. So he did and we started talking...We have been together for 5 years now.
