Keep it simple...If you have a family members or friends who have talents such as sewing, loves to plan or organize events plays an instrument, likes to cook (you provide the groceries, etc..) an amature photograper ,ask them nicely if they could help you out. I've done 2 weddings very inexpensively for friends. Best one was done in my backyard. The bride made her own dress(victorian style) We bought cheap little white xmas lights. cooked the food ourselves, easy stuff like cassarole and veges with dip. A friend from work did the photography, and we got the chaplin from ourwork to do the service. We made wine punch and even cut wild flowers to decorate the yard and make bouquets. The only big expense was the rental of a small gazebo we got for $75.00. We all enjoyed ourselves and in the evening light everything looked really romantic and pretty. another solution would be to make it a "Picnic" wedding...nothing fancy, simple attire, potluck dishes, fruit bowls, lemonade, etc...Flowers can be bought at the supermarket, use a lot of babys breath to expand the arrangements. Use your imagination. The wedding cost isn't what you'll remember it's the love that you have for each other as well as that of your family and friends as they join you in celebrating this special moment in your lives...Best wishes and good Luck!

Well my husband & I married on Christmas Eve at our local registry office followed by a reception at a local hotel, it was cheap but because of the time of the year and everything we found that the places were already decorated saving us money and it was intimate & romantic and I loved every second. We had friends dip in instead of giving us wedding presents people all helped out, like an uncle who works for a car company getting us a car for the day, my husbands friends filmed it & took photos and I thought it fantastic!

Well since you didn't say where your from it might not be much help...but I found a beautiful FREE wedding chapel called the Chapel Dulcinea in Austin, Texas. It costs $100 to reserve the date and time and you get refunded the $100 when you show up to have the wedding. There is an opening from 4pm-6pm on Dec. 31st. It's so pretty in at sunset that you don't even need decorations! Book quickly!

Nobody mentioned gretna green, isnt that what its famous for? I would love to get married and only wish to do it once with the man i truly love, so why not talk to your church explain the situation and book a year in advance get married next year and give yourself exactly what you deserve, the fairy-tale. If youre going to be together for the rest of your lives then give yourselves something to look back on and wait! It would be worth it when youre telling your grandchildren your love story. Good luck and i hope you get the wedding and marriage you deserve.

What a wonderful way to ring in the New Year!
Type into your search engine your city, state & wedding officiant. You should have your choice of a few. They will come to wherever you decide to hold the ceremony; make it personal & romantic. Just make sure you like the officiant & can communicate your wishes to them. Might want to interview a couple.
Congratulations!

It is now possible to get married anywhere. The cheapest place? Home. Or come to Scotland for the Hogmanay celebrations, after the wedding at your hotel, go for it.

call your local churches, some have a small room that they will rent out for a small wedding for under $100 dollars.
There's also party rooms, someone's home, you can call around to the local historic homes and bed and breakfasts and ask if you can have your wedding there.
Not knowing where you are located this is about the best I can do for you.

Tina go to a registry office and all you pay for is your marriage licence and they will conduct it there, and then if you want have a buffet at the house, cheap as chips.

Churches, Synagoges, Cultural centers, VFW posts all rent their hall spaces cheaply.
They include stage, tables and chairs etc.
You will have to arrange your food, drinks and decorations
