I'm an American teenager or young adult. I keep thinking about marriage in the future... I'm not a very skilled guy but I'm willing to try for the people I love. I also think from right and wrong, I'm still a virgin and don't follow others to alcohol parties. I would also be willing to sit down and listen to others' sad situations and talk with them.

I'm scared that my future wife will hurt me because I'm not strong enough. I fear she will not be willing to make sacrifices like me for our children. I'm afraid of her divorcing with me, I only want one woman in my life, its unhealthy to keep looking for others. I'm afraid she will cheat on me. What should I do?

Thanks for reading.

I have a bad marriage... we don't live together, but are not officially "separated." Besides not being together physically in the same household, things are not all that good... Should I start divorce proceedings immediately or wait to see if it changes?? I believe he wants it to work out...

I'm a junior in hs, and have struggled with skipping school for 3 years now. I switched to a new school because my grades were so bad. Now I havent been to school in 2 weeks. (I've skipped much longer before.) All I've been doing is staying home, I've started smoking pot (like 5 times in the past week or more), drinking, hanging out, and my boyfriend is way older than me.
Do I sound like I'm headed toward loserville?

i am going through a break up after a short marriage and relationship of 4 years and having a hell of a time. i get lost in thoughts while am into middle of something. Would be working for 11-12 hours and the moment i get free my mind starts wandering into thoughts filled with anger and sadness. i am a business owner and so have no supervisor over me. in the past months my work has suffered, sometimes i have crossed deadlines and feel pathetic about the whole thing.

Can you please share some tips to manage an orderly life? i have also taken up hobby to divert my thoughts. i don't drink and (if someone may suggest to sleep around i am not doing that) Thanks.

I have been with my bf for 6 months. We recently had an arguement about a co-worker of his (you can read my other post). During the quiet argument I asked him "Were you in love with her...did you love her?" And his reply was "NO! I am in love with YOU!" This was the first the L word entered at all. I was very angry and just said "I don't need to hear that right now." I didn't want the first time he said this to be during an argument. I feel the same way but haven't said anything about it because I am afraid that he just said it in the heat of everything. I am 30 and have had bf's before and we have said it at different times..never took 6 months to say it but I now realize that I probably didn't mean it with the others. That's why I am so stressed about it now, I really mean it and just wonder if I should tell him...Thanks

I'm sorry for posting in marriage and divorce but the singles dating forum seems a little too young at times.

I just found out and have proff that my best friends husband cheated on her 2 or 3 months ago. This is her and his first marriage. They've only been married for 9 months. I can't believe he could do that to her when it was his idea to get married after only 4 months of knowing and dating each other. What makes a guy cheat on his wife? This worries me cuz I'm engagd to be married in a year. I've know my fiancee for 3 will be 4 years when we get married. We're dated for almost a year and a half will be 2 and a half years when we get married.

Ok I have step kids who I have been raising for years. there is a lot to this case. so please don't think I'm just trying to steop in between the kids in there mother that is not the case at all. anyway the judge heard about ten minutes and made temp orders letting her take the kids back to her home for thanksgiving. thier father and I are scared that they will get hurt or she will hide them and we wil never see them again. I'm thinking of writing to the judge myself and telling him all the fact with all the proof to back what I say. the thing is I don't know if I should do it or not. the thing is I think the kids should go back and see how much things have changed and let them get an idea weather they want to go again or not but there are 11 people living in a 3bd home already and with the kids it would be 14 there. and 2 drug dealers a convicted felon who is on perole for attempted murder grand theft auto and robbery. she has abused these kids abandond them medically neglected them

How do you get over someone who has hurt you deeply?
took you for granted
and would have no problem hurting you again
Even though you got your revenge (didn't even really mean to, he caused it to happen for himself (dumb *** but koodoes for me))
It's been about a month since I got my revenge. (Again I didn't even plan it. Just kind of happened) and every now and then i am reminded of the pain that he caused me.

I want to get over it but i cant
I'm still angry at myself for trusting him when he didn't deserve it.

how do i get over it?

I desperately want to hire a maid service to dust, vacuum and mop, clean our 2 bathrooms, and wash our dishes--twice a week...but I can't get my husband to agree that it is a good idea. He is convinced that it is a bad idea! He thinks that someone will steal our things, go through our drawers and other paranoid things of such.

I know there is a small chance that it could happen, but I cannot think of any strong points other than the free time we will gain from not having to do these things ourselves. Do you know of any strong points that I can bring up or a way to convince him that this is a great idea?

He wanted me to add to my details that we have guns in our home. Does this change your mind or our situtation? I believe they should be locked in a safe but he is stubborn. (They are all unloaded/hidden with their ammo on a top shelf in our closet and there no children in our home.)

Please help!

"I love him/her but I'm not IN love with him/her."
"I love my parents/siblings/children/friends."
"I love that dress/breakfast/movie; pursuit."

"It; wasn't; sex; it; was; making; love."
"They; don't; love; X,; they're; just; in; love; with; love."

All; the; above; a; comments; oft; heard; but seem; to; reference; different; loves.;
So; WHAT is LOVE?

Can one be in love and not know it, not be and think so, not be and not know?
Must love be exclusive for one recipient only (ever or at a time)?
Why does maternal love for children transcend love for spouse with and for whom the children were created as evidence of love for their partner?

Define love.......

(I don't love Yahoo's random insertion of semi-colons every time the space-bar is used......at least I don't think I do.)

If I said that some men are like children who need correction, or dogs who need to be trained? I know it sounds hard to believe, but I mean this with absolutely no disrespect. Truly. It is a good man who realizes this about himself. And this does not make him less than you. That attitude will not bring you results. What will bring you results is a clear, simple system of expectations, rules, rewards and punishments. Now of course, some cannot be trained and some don't need it. What do you think?

My bf and I have been together for over a year. Living together for 10 months. We are both divorced, been married once before each and are almost 40. We get along great and have a really close relationship. I never thought I would want to marry again, but I have been really thinking about it. We have never talked about getting married. Should I bring it up or just wait for him? Btw...I am not the kind of woman who feels I "need" to be married. But, was thinking it might be nice.
