my wife is a very beautiful women but has little confidence i ask her why her confidence is so low and she says its the way she was raised what should i do

Just do all you can to bolster her confidence in herself, compliment her genuinely (not too much b/c it will seem insincere) on all things not just her physical appearance. Tell her often how wonderful you think that she is and eventually she may come around to your way of thinking...what a great guy...listen up fellas!

Maybe she might need some counseling! I think you can says wonderful things but it might not sink in to much! Like she says it has to do with her childhood. Just give her all the support she needs! Good luck!

make sure she knows you think she is beautiful. Treat her with respect. Maybe you could treat her to a new dress or day at the spa..
All else fails.. maybe she is fishing for compliments.
