My bf and I have been together for over a year. Living together for 10 months. We are both divorced, been married once before each and are almost 40. We get along great and have a really close relationship. I never thought I would want to marry again, but I have been really thinking about it. We have never talked about getting married. Should I bring it up or just wait for him? Btw...I am not the kind of woman who feels I "need" to be married. But, was thinking it might be nice.

I would ask him how he feels on marring again that way you know for the future

Well. you can ask .. he needs to know that you are serious about him and take your time with the marriage part. Let him know that you dont want marriage now, but maybe in the future. Just tell him that you are truly commited to him ;) I think people should communicate the intensity of their emotions and feelings in a relationship ;)

Think you should just try to get his opinion on getting married again first.But then he'll definately know your up to something.So do it in a way that he thinks that your only getting his opinion or so.Maybe giving an example of a frien of yours whose in the same situation as you and that she/he wantst o get married or so. Then tell him that you think its a gud idea or not.Then ask him what does he think? something like that!

sounds like you want to solidify the commitment and are worrying that he might not want to take it to the next level. Just chill for awhile. You haven't been together that long.

Has not been all that long, in terms of relationship...why not enjoy the journey together and not rush things.

If you cannot talk to him about anything and everything in your life, then no, do not bring up the subject of marriage.
Find a man that you can share everything with and talk with him about marriage.

By all means you should propose to him. Neither of you are getting any younger! Then set the wedding date one year hence.
