I just found out and have proff that my best friends husband cheated on her 2 or 3 months ago. This is her and his first marriage. They've only been married for 9 months. I can't believe he could do that to her when it was his idea to get married after only 4 months of knowing and dating each other. What makes a guy cheat on his wife? This worries me cuz I'm engagd to be married in a year. I've know my fiancee for 3 will be 4 years when we get married. We're dated for almost a year and a half will be 2 and a half years when we get married.

Because marriage is way overrated and people jump into it way too fast without even knowing the person they are marrying.

Men cheat because of the same reason that women cheat: temptation, no more spark in the relationship, inability to committ, etc. I believe in forgiveness, but it depends on the severity of his cheating and how often this has happened. But love can be saved -it's going to take a lot of trust, however. If you love your man enough to marry him, then you must trust him, too. Don't rush into a marriage with doubts about his faithfulness. I wouldn't worry, however, getting cold feet is normal, but just watch out for yourself. We should love first, then judge, not the other way around. Good luck, I wish you two the best! Just be there for her friend, she needs you right now. Someday, she will get the love and respect she deserves.

Don't think that just because he cheated on your friend that your fiancee is going to cheat on you. It sounds like the dude rushed her into marrying him and he probably was never planning on being faithful to her. I don't think we will ever have a definitive answer why men cheat or why anyone cheats, but all I can say is that we are sexual beings and some people cannot resist the temptation of sex with a new partner. I think it' sad. I've never had a problem being faithful, but then again I'm not a guy. Wouldn't it be nice to be a guy for a week just to understand them? My best advice is for you to be there for your friend no matter if she decides to stay with him or leave him...

Men cheat because they’re cowards, and women cheat because well, they’re cowards too. People get unhappy in their relationships and instead of facing the difficult and traumatic breakup, they’d rather try to keep the relationship going while trying to find some kind of happiness elsewhere. Just because someone cheats, doesn’t mean they don’t still love their partner. Their unhappiness drives them to do things that they would normally not do. We are all in pursuit of happiness. Sometimes people get desperate and make bad choices for what they think will make them happy. Essentially it’s a way to run away from the problem rather than facing it. Facing the problem is scary and difficult. Avoiding it is easy, but has high risk. A 65% divorce rate in the US suggests that humans are not meant to mate for life. It would just be a lot more tolerable if people would come clean and communicate their feelings rather than running around like a teenager and banging everything that walks to prove something to themselves or to mask insecurity.

Three simple reasons. Either the "man" has no respect for commitment. This is an irrational person who shows obvious signs before marriage by flirting with others, getting phone numbers from women, etc. Or a husband is emotionally abandoned by his wife. This is because his wife nags, denies sex, doesn't stay fit, argues with him, etc. Or the very rare psychological breakdown triggered by an "event". If you have a good man who does not show any psychological problems and seems committed, then just keep your commitment to be his loving wife and you never have to worry. By the way, your friend sounds like she married the first type since she doesn't even know the guy.

A man will normally only cheat if he is not getting enough. There are always exceptions to any rule, but if a man is getting enough to exhaust him, he won't be able to do more than look at onother woman, even if he was inclined to cheat.
Men are always looking at other women. It is eye candy, so to speak. Most men do not act ont it, they just look. But you cut your man off, or not take care of his urges, he may do more than look. In a marriage it takes a lot longer, usually, but the result can be the same....

I was married for 15 years when my wife cheated on me. Not all men cheat. Some of us are nice guys just waiting to get screwed over.

Don't let another man's behavior make you doubt your decision to marry your fiance. What happened to your friend is terrible, but that doesn't mean it'll happen to you, too. Not all men are dogs. Besides, you cannot stop living your life and taking risks just because you fear getting hurt. Get those negative thoughts out of your sweet head and be excited, not fearful, about your marriage.

Not all men are scumbags, so dont let her bad luck ...affect your life or marriage...
some men, ..are just ...well, like i said, scum!...its nothing the girl or wife has done or hasnt done...
....however after many years of marriage, the number one reason men cheat is usually sex....as in their not getting it anymore.......or as often as they'd like....which is why its very important to keep it fresh in the bedroom, ......not just at the beginning but all through the years.....Never let him get bored and more than likely he'll never stray.
as far as your friend, her husband just sound like one of the jerks....You should tell her, and let her get out while she still can! There are plenty of good men out there...good and honest.
..and for the record....I believe almost as many women cheat too.
