So; WHAT is LOVE?

Can one be in love and not know it, not be and think so, not be and not know?
Must love be exclusive for one recipient only (ever or at a time)?
Why does maternal love for children transcend love for spouse with and for whom the children were created as evidence of love for their partner?

Define love.......

(I don't love Yahoo's random insertion of semi-colons every time the space-bar is used......at least I don't think I do.)

Very well asked my dear.. !!!!!!
but books with pages and pages.. are written on this.!!!

You have asked several question here..
.. U will have to go back and write them separately.. and I hope I see them..
short ans simple..
if anyone does anything for u.. around u.. it is good and positive.. then that out of love..
but for someone to be in-loved... is to forsake all others for u.. in a good and positive way.. not meaning to hurt anyone..

yes, a person can be in love and not know it.. they don't no until something happens.. they are just taking the love for granted..
yes. a person can not be in-love and NOT no it... they could be obsessed, co-dependent.. ?

your question is very complex and doesn't have just one answer..sorry..
u did some real thinking on this..
good luck..

Thats a DAMN good question but love is simply something that comes from the heart and its a better feeling than just liking something or someone its a passionate feeling its a desirable feeling.

love does have many different definitions and i guess its all in the way it is said.
if someone is in love with an item of clothing or a movie etc, they simply really like that outfit or really enjoyed that movie.
the love somone has for their spouse is a different kind of love to the way they love their children.
i am in love and i do love my husband and i also love our child who is due in april but the type of love is different.
it doesnt mean i love either more or less, i love my child the way a mother has unconditional love for their child and i love my husband in a romantic way, the way that i care so deeply for him and i and am so attracted to him and i am extremely happy with our marriage.
to love someone but not be inlove with them is to care about that person like they do family but not in a romantic way.
for some one to make love opposed to simply having sex means that they are being passionate in their actions rather than simply getting the deed over and done with so that they are satisfied.
to be in love with love is when the person doesnt necessarily love their partner but simply loves the companionship that love provides or they enjoy the feeling of falling in love with someone, the way they get butterflies when they touch etc.
love is a very hard thing to describe though....
hope my definitions were good enough!!!

Love is an overwhelming feeling of complete joy and total bliss that makes you do crazy stuff, sometimes.

Love is truely undefined.
It's purely an emotion all living, mobile things share. A feeling of attachment and joy, a clingy feeling that makes us really fuzzy. 8D

[I specify "mobile" because plants... to my knowledge, do not feel emotion.]
