Marriage & Divorce - 14 August 2007

My partner used substances for years from using speed and exctasy in the old warehouse party days to having a serious habit with crack and heroin. He decided to get clean before we met and did succesful detox and left behind his old life to complete a course on counselling kids not to go into drugs and crime. The thing i hate is the fact that people still class him as a user and stigmatise him even though long clean and we are both in profesions now (im a nurse) I hate having to explain all the time that he is a decent person and wonderful partner who does not drink, smoke or use drugs when the people judging are worse themselves. any advice? We are both in our early thirties. He gets very upset people wont let him forget what he was and hated and move on.

At 13 raped,...now at 33 and married, I only seem to really get into sex when I'm drinking. Even then I seem to hate it untill my husband is ruff,..then love it. ???? I've got it in my head,. sex is nasty,.and sick,.until I'm drunk?? But for the most part, I think I could have been a nun,..and go without sex forever. I did not believe in love, and found emotions messy and illogical, so when I met a nice grounded guy I married him, knowing that I didn't love him, just wanting to get out of the dating game. I went to therapy when I started having problems with repressed emotions, and now I want to embrace love, but do not love my husband - I married him specifically because I knew we would spent a lot of time apart. Should I stay with him out of duty, or be honest about how I feel and leave?

My dad is often away and when I seem down he dismiss's it. My mother was raised by her grandma because she never recieved the attention/love she got from her own mom. Her mom pretty much abadoned her and my grandma was left to take care of her. Now my mom is taking it out on me. Were not suppose to show our feelings-as in being sad or else she'll scream at me and saying im acting like a grannie.

than how come my cousin is the only one who was very nice to me and was trying to cheer me up while no else cared? not even my other cousins at the party? he is my sec. cousin. even though my other cousins are nice he was being esp, nice to me. hes 21. im 14.

We've been married for almost 12 yrs,and during that time,I neglected my duty as a wife to him .Instead of putting him as my 1st priority,I concentrated on helping my family and not even thinking for our future.Whatever it pleases me,he'll give.I was too confident of his love to the point that I took advantage of it.

My husband and I have been together for seven years and every now and then I catch him looking at pictures of female celebrities and they're ALL blonde! I want a dissolution,But I live In Colorado,she lives in Ohio,do i have to show up in court even if we agree on everything,I have moved from Ohio less then 6 months ago.I left her everything In the house and I already pay child support(have paid it for 10 years) I cant afford to show up in Ohio.. we agree on everything..been married 20 years..will i have to make a court appearance?? I played Strip Poker with a married woman and we both had a great time and felt very comfortble with each other. I really like and care for her, she has said that if she wasnt married she would date me, im really interested in her and would like to act on it.. I can't help but feeling crushed. He walked out on the kids and I 3 days after we got back frm Disney Wrld. While there he not only used 2 cell phones to communicate with his soon to be live in whore. He begged me for sex the entire week. He lied and treated me like %&^% for 6 mos prior. He lied about his job and took permenent placement 2 states away. Oh and all this after convincing his Nan, mom and disabled brother to move here in Pa frm Ca. So he could be a help to them. He not only dated, had sex and carried on his lies and affair for mos before I found out, he Shacked up with her immediately after leaving our home that very day. And, to top it off the way he told me was through our son. Yes, the &(&*&( coward called our son on his cell phone to tell him he was cheating on his mother. Nice. I know this is wrong..your suppose to love yourself . But i can find a flaw in every part of my body from my head to my toe. I want surgeries to make me look perfect. I hate my body and i hate everything about me. please dont give me rude answers just good advice would be nice. I am totally insecure and need to gain my self confidence. how can i do this? how can i just love me for me?
btw...i have a 9 month year old baby, and the father just left us 2 months ago, i was with him for 4 years...could this be the reason why i feel so insecure?
