Marriage & Divorce - 10 July 2007

You move to a new town thousands of miles away from any family or friends with your husband and 2 year old boy. He all of a sudden thinks you're cheating on him with a co-worker. He
accuses you, and starts acting really weird putting taperecorders under the bed. He even put a videorecorder across the bed in a vent out of my view trying to "catch me" as he put it. We get into a big fight & I tell him to leave because he's being very disrespectful, he's really convinced I'm cheating. He doesn't come back, & you find out from a coworker that he rented an apt somewhere. I then hire a someone to follow him to find out whats up. No signs of cheating just work & back, but I find out the apt#. I go to try to talk to him because I'm confused(We were together for 6 yrs before this happened(2004), never acted like this before) He then calls the police because he thought I was going to go crazy on him. Our son was w/ me. Never acted like this again for 3 yrs now. No drugs/alcohol.

HELLPPPP... I been with my BF for almost 4 years and we finally got engaged about 6 months ago. He is an awsome guy, and I love him alot. But even when we were dating he never really had a stablished job. I always fight with him because of financial reasons, and especially since now its more serious. I know he's trying, but the problem is he's not grasping things as fast as he should.. And hes not a go getter.... I am more of a go getter then him. He's too layed back. Seems like I am the only one whos really worried about our future. I dont know what to do, if iam having financial problems right now, I know my future looks bad. I dont want to be the only one whos brings in the cash, and i dont want to stress about not having enough money to pay the bills... What should I do?????

Ok, so I go to check the mail today and I recieved a letter from my ex wife. It was a damn wedding invitation!!!! I left her because she was cheating on me with the guy she is going to marry and she invites me to her wedding??? Is this normal and I'm getting upset over nothing or does this seem messed up to you?

My question is : If you show up to court without an attorney and do not agree with the divorce decree can you refuse the wording of the decree and ask the courts for time to get an attorney ??? There is a custody battle and I do not want my girlfriend to loose them. We are raising the money for an attorney but wont be able to get this done before the court date. Legal Aid is a joke and trying to get an attorney pro-bono is just as funny.

I paid for us to go to Jamacia. I pay for his classes. I bought him a car. I paid off a lot of his debt(debt he had before he met me). He is always broke(we have separate accounts). He blows his money on going out to eat 3 times a week,buying games etc... I work 3 jobs and I am a saver! Should I feel guitly?

My husband was divorced about 5 years ago, and now his ex-wife is pressuring him to give her more child support for their 2 children. She is remarried and was allowed to stay in a house with a lot of equity, that he basically gave to her. We have been consistently giving her as much as we possibly can, but rents are high in California and we had to get rid of a car in order to make it. She says if they go to court they will take your rent, income, debt and other expenses into consideration. Is that true, because I went on one of those calculators and it said we would have to pay $1350.00 per month, and we just can't afford that. Any advice on how to keep the courts out of it, or what should we expect.

My dad just got married again and I don't really like my new step-mom. She is really controlling, fusses about everything, and is lazy. I know that my dad is somewhat happy, but when I went over there the other day, he was threatening to call off the wedding. I really dislike her, but want to respect her for my dad's sake, and want it in return from her too. What do I do?

I am not physically abused by my husband. We have 2 great kids ages 5 and 7 who absolutely adore their dad. Problem is, my husband is a slacker. He misses days of work and might lose this great job b/c "his tooth hurts". I asked him if he thinks his job might be in jeapordy and he says "i don't know" I blew up at him this morning !! (in front of the kids) I am tired of his supremely lazy attitude towards life. He doesn't "take charge" as head of house and father , if I want to buy a home I have to do ALL the research and calls etc, I even got him his last job b/c I sent his resume out!! He is too laid back and when its nice weather he NEVER wants to do anything and tells me if I want to do something I should plan it. I pretty much hate his guts for being a lazy slob and DREAM of just me and the kids living our fun life but they love him and I'm afraid they'll be so hurt. By the way, we've been 2gether 11 years, I'VE ALREADY tried the 'talking to him', it DOESNT work. Thanks all

I have never asked anything from her biological father who is in her life and spends time with her, but should I have him pay child support for her? My wife and I are both invited to her good friend's 30th bday party in NY City. We'll have to fly there ($700 +) and can only be there a couple days because we just took a week off work for a vacation. Money is a little tight with the recent vacation. It's supposed to be a really great party.

Should we both go and not worry about the money?

Should she go alone without me which saves half the money (but I'm left out)?

Should neither of us go (and celebrate with the friend when we see her next time)?

My husband was on board with me to adopt my 3 month old nephew who was almost killed by his parents. Then all of a sudden he tells me he wants a divorce and that he doesn't want to raise a child with me. Am I wrong for not giving up the baby and trying to make it work with my husband? He says it has nothing to do with the baby, but he never mentioned divorce until after the notion of adopting the baby came to reality. Please help me!

So I known this girl for over a year. She's a close friend now. about a month ago was her graduation. she had 9 tickets and invited her friends and family but not me. it turned out only 6 people could make it and she had 3 extra tickets. she did not think to invite me. I practically had to beg(i questioned her about what's she is going to do with the extra tickets). finally, she invited me to her graduation the day before. She invited all her friends months before. I feel that I'm at the bottom of her list of friends. This happened about a month ago. Is it too late to confront her about this? I thought the hurt would go away but it didnt. I'm said she didnt invite me until the last minute. What should I do. SHould i bring this up to her? If so, how should I approach it? Please help

Do you ever find yourself missing your "ex"spouse or "ex"partner due to thinking about the memories you shared or places you have gone together, or when you look at your children and remember sacare moments...I have been thinking about my "ex" husband lately and I'm not sure if I just miss him or if I truly just miss the memories we have made...
We both have moved on and are in the last days of our divorce being finalized...I have come to a pont where I don't respect him and have little care about him due to the way he priorities our children last to his "new" life...His constant failed promises and lies is something that I cannot accept..So I'm not sure why I have been feeling like this lately...Could it be that I really miss him or is it just my thoughts and memoreis?? Has anyone ever felt this way or experienced the same thing??

I asked this question a few days ago-I have finished with the woman I was seeing-too many complications, but I still feel the need for something extra.
I have regular sex with my wife-but it aint doing it anymore--this will sound really shallow but her body has gone south after the birth of our child(this was 3 years ago) -I make gentle hints about this-but a womans weight is still taboo-I still love her more than anything in the world- but ............I will accept all slagging off ,as I guess I deserve this

Married three kids , husband using porn instead of me for years i.e when i go out or am tired ect (alot of the time

How do I need to go about marring an illegal immigrant without having him sent back to his country? We have been together for 2 years so it's not like it's for his green card but what is the actual process? Would it be easier for us both to go back to his country, get married, apply for Visa there then come back? I am so confused and can't plan a wedding until I find out all this information. The other day my wife told me it turns her on when other women flirt with me. This has been going on for over two years now and I can't figure out a way to control my anger when she is so rude and disrespectful all the time. My husband doesn't want to hear about it anymore but it's not fair since I do the children pick-ups because he is at work. Just yesterday she was rude to me and my son. My 8 year old son said "hi" to her and she ignored him only to turn around and "flip" us both off. I wanted to have it out with her but we were at a school and the kids were there. I feel like my husband is also being disrepectful by not defending me? What can help me? He won't go to counseling.
