Ok, so I go to check the mail today and I recieved a letter from my ex wife. It was a damn wedding invitation!!!! I left her because she was cheating on me with the guy she is going to marry and she invites me to her wedding??? Is this normal and I'm getting upset over nothing or does this seem messed up to you?

Seems to me, she's rubbing your nose in it. Sorry.. that's just mean.

No, it's not normal in the sense that you would want to go, but it IS normal if she is trying to convince herself that your feelings are not hurt by her choices.

I had the same issue, where my ex invited me to attend her wedding. I couldn't do it, and I wouldn't recommend that any ex do so until WAY after the divorce. You might as well use a cheese grater on your body and bathe in rubbing alcohol if you think it would be fun to go to her marriage to the man she was cheating with....

It could be a remaining power and control issue...if I were you, I'd take the high road, enclose a very nice decline, and leave it at that.

I'm sorry that your wife did you this way. My parents divorced when i was Two and unfortnately didn't get along until just recently, and seeing as i am now 19 that's a long time. When i was little they would do things like that to annoy each other, such as when my dad married wife number 2 he invited my mom, and when my mom got remarried to my current step-dad she sent an announcement notice to my father. It is petty and ridiculous but not uncommon. i hope that you realize that at least you are rid of her and you are free to move on and find someone that will love you and respect you. You have every right to be upset but take it as a test to your character and don't let her childish behavior get to you! Good Luck!

Personally I wouldn't give my ex's the time of day to waste an invation and stamp on. Personally I think you should blow it off and not let her know she is getting the best of you. She's an ex right? If that's the case she is an ex for a reason. Don't give it the time of day. Or you could hire a really pretty woman to go as her date and piss her off. Reserve for 2 and she'll think you are taking a guy friend if she calls don't return her call. Personally though I wouldn't give her the time of day or show her I'm pissed off.

Wow! That is hardcore messed up! She sounds like a girl who only thinks of themselves, and no one else. I think that is heinous what she is doing. Do you think there is a chance that she is sending you the invite because she wants you to save her from the marriage and take her back? Maybe she is marrying him because she feels guilty about what she did, and feels that is the correct punishment. If not, she is just one big ol' female dog!

Wow! She is an insensitive b*tch! Yah, its messed up. While it would be fun to send her something really messed up for her wedding present, just be the bigger better person and rip the invite up and definately dont go to the wedding.

She is missed up. Do not go on her wedding. She is playing with your emotion and your brain. Duh! what a woman indeed she is. I would not go if I were you. Just leave it like it is and tell her thank you for the invitation and you have better things to do than being there to be an emotional wreck. That is what she want she want you to be unhappy and be miserable. Drop the b!@#$% she is no good for you. Move on with your life. Forget and forgive.

Hah! She's marrying the guy she left you for. You have no obligation to attend the wedding, send a gift or anything else for that matter.
If I were you I would burn the invitation.....
